THANKS TO THE MILITARY BASES IN PANAMA THE U.S. COULD CONTROL ALL THE LATIN AMERICAN COUNTRIES AND IMPOSE THEIR MILITARY POWER FAST AND EFFICIENTLY. PANAMANIAN BASES WERE INSTALLED TO DEVELOP MOST OF LATIN AMERICAN DICTATORS, INCLUDING NORIEGA, SOMOZA, TRUJILLO, VIDELA, STROESSNER, ETC.
WHY SO MANY IGNORANTS WRITE HERE. US BUILT THE CANAL TO SUPPORT THEIR IMPERIALISTICS NEEDS. PANAMA RECEIVED LITTLE MONEY AND PUT ITS GEOGRAPHIC POSITION. without the u.s. probably the canal would never be built, or built by other world powers.
