my students love their TickleMe Plants. Now you can grow a TickleMe Plant anytime of the year indoors. Just go to ticklemeplant com They have a cool video too and lots of kits and the TickleMe Plant book. My kids run to class to greet their Pet Plants
@joonog11 The song is by Yann Tiersen. I'm unsure of the title, but it is from the soundtrack to Amelie. A movie directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet and that I highly recommend experiencing :)
Hi I live in Brazil, I'm 17, recently went to visit my grandmother, she lives in the Interio BAHIA-ba, finally found it and this species too, only it there is another species very similar except that the leaves are a little wider, contact migo please bjus
Anybody has growing tips for me? I have a mimosa pudica, its 3 months old, and its barly 12cm high. I bought the plant with a lot of leaves on it, but now its almost bald. Yet, the branch is still very green, it means its still alive. I keep the temperature in my room always over 21 degrees, and 75% humidity... Someone help me please? I think the plant is healthy, but not happy... How can i make it happy? Please, someone.
see, all plants have feelings..most just don't show it, coz they can't...on the other side, if you're a vegetarian, and you don't eat animals coz they feel alot more than plants, and you see this, and you don't eat plants....What do you eat ?
@PizzaZumMittagessen Try asking for sensitive plant seed packets in nursery places [garden shops] in the springtime; you should have success then. Good luck!
The TickleMe Plant will reopen in minutes. I just ordeedr more TickleMe Plant Greenhouse kits for my school. The TickleMe Plant is the one plant every kid wants to grow. Just google TickleMe Plant as they are on sale
I love these plants! I just went to panama last June. They have these, they are extra sensitive, if you even blow on them their leaves will close. The locals call them "Dormideras" before we left Panama we 'illegally' brought some back to the U.S. They are thriving in our back yard.
@meatisdeliciouse - I know you said you don't want the seeds, but i'm growing some from a "weird seed pod" and they sprouted really quickly and are growing well, despite me usually being a failure with plants! You can get them on amazon.
Where the heck can I buy one of these? I keep trying with ther seads but none of them survive for more than a weak and not many sprout. All I want is the actual plant, not the seeds; they dont work.
@BarrellyRoll erm, no? xD It's a basic nervous system. It's one of the few plants with one. Turgor pressure refers to the amount of water in the air around it?
Just google TickleMe Plant to easily grown your own indoors year round. Also see the cool video and complete guide to growing one. I Love My TickleMe Plant
Its called the TickleMe Plant and you can easily grow this indoors now. Just search The TickleMe Plant if you have having a party and need TickleMe Plant Party favors. way cool
There was a massive pile of these at the front of my house and me and my brother used to pour water on them and watch them all close at once when we were little. Good times...
The composer of the song is Yann Tiersen, and the song is call "Comptine d'un Autre Ete: L' Apre Midi" you can find a lot of videos of him in youtube and all his songs are amazing. He just launch a new album called "Tabarly" whit a lot of good new piano songs ;););)...
TAKE THAT VEGETARIANS! This is proof that vegetarians aren't doing anything noble in their plant only diets. If even one plant shows an obvious ability to sense touch then that means all plants can have that ability to some degree. Therefore, the killing of plants for food is just as evil as the killing of animals. Thank you for posting this, even though that may not have been your reason for doing so.
I'm not vegetarian but... the plants can't feel sorrows, they have not a nervous system. They can be stressed, but they can't suffer. Anyway, there are some people that are worried about "plants'sorrows", so they eat only fruits. -_-'
But one could argue plants WANT to be eaten! lol There is a brilliant book that reveals the proof of how plants are inherent of consciousness, emotion and memory, called 'The Secret Life of Plants'. The work was carried out by leading scientists and as a skeptic myself it was a lovely revelation about the true reality of plant life.
they don't have a central nervous system, and they can only respond to stimuli, there fore they have no feelings. no fear. only the drive to reproduce. Cute little veiw in reality, though...
Nice video Also known as the TickleMe Plant, I ordered the seeds on line from the TickleMe Plant Company. My kids love growing TickleMe Plants tickling them and watching them sleep at night.

Hrko1992 1 year ago
@Hrko1992 They can't "feel". For doing that, they'll require a brain, something that decomoposes the message or stimuli.
What you see is a non-directional response or reaction to touch...its called thigmonasty.
Animals by the other side DO have a complex nervous system; Ergo, they feel as proporly said.
