  • THIS IS WHAT I SAY TO GUYS WHO SAY THEIR CAR IS SOOO MUCH FASTER THAN A 4 CYLINDER!! if an 8 cylider drag car is beating a 4 cylinder you have ABSOLUTLEY nothing to brag about. nothing at all. On the other hand despite any amount of money you put into a car if your pussy mustang gets beat by a 4 cylinder you might as well crush your car. lol. there is a 4 cylinder difference that people always forget because they see the 4 cylnider getting beat and say ooooooh he is slow. HE HAS 4 less cylindrs

  • @marchdog24 ROFL.

    1. We are not racing here. This is not racing, this is a modified V8 getting on it next to a sonata (stock).

    2. So when you add 25 PSI of boost and every other dammed thing under the sun to a 4 cyl, its "just a 4 cylider" still lol? I guess if he has 4 less cylinders, and I have 15 PSI less boost, were even?

    get real.

  • *somebody in my town who thinks his automatic gto is cool

  • Im getting an s4, no more need for that, gonna be runnin at 20+ psi, Cant wait to smoke that douches gto

  • Just like me vs my friends srt4

  • @Mr2jzge You do know thier are mods out thier that can make your car quick-amazing fast, right? Just get ahold of T.C at NGM house of power motorsports, that is where I got all my mods for my 02 sonata.I went from 16.8's to 15.4s with just bolt on mods and still have stock engine, and he has turbo and roots blowers, built engines ,cams, the whole nine yards.

  • @KJBPSkipper The amount of money that would be required to make the sonata even stand a chance would be astronomical, and you would be left with an unstreetable car.

  • @testy462 I own A 02' and I completely disagree,I already run upper 14's sec. times with just bolt ons, tune, and about a 80lb weight reduction up front, the 15.4 was before I just went to larger tires and solid rubber motor mounts. You can, given you get the traction needed, make around 300 whp and have a comparably fast car,the key in fwd is to get both front tires to hook up equally, somthing that is acheived through the lengths of the half shafts.I only have 3,700 dollars invested so far.

  • @KJBPSkipper You realise the mustang your looking at is a high 11 second car right?

Its my mustang in the video, your going to need a LOT more than 300 WHP in a sonata to stand a chance. The mustang is making 440~ WHP on a 3200-3300 pound RWD platform with almost 420 ft/lbs.

  • @KJBPSkipper With a short shot of research (and the guy who owns the sonata looking over my shoulder lol) we find it should weigh something around 3200-3300 pounds depending on options. Gonna throw out a number here and say to run even with the mustang your going to need something on the lines of 460+ WHP to keep up. This is considering the cars weigh about the same and your never going to see that much TQ out of the 2.7.

Like I said, fill a boat with money and spend it on the car.

  • @testy462 Not much torque N/A,BUT,if you go with a NGM roots style blower...well the torque WILL be there.Get on ngm house of power site and do some research for yourself, and even call t.c,a n/A TIB PUTTING 200LBS-200HP at the wheels weighing about what you described has ran 13.9's,there are 11 sec tibs also, and it was not requirng no more money that you would sink into a stang getting there.Hey,I love stangs ,I love cars man,it just depends on what you choose to build, later.

  • @KJBPSkipper I looked on the site, your out of your mind if you think it will take the same/less money to get the sonata anywhere near the mustang, especially from a stop.

Power wise, there is less than 6500 invested into this car at the point on the vid. Just under 4k for the blower kit, 600 for the cams, 200 for the springs, and about 1000 for the exhaust, and a few hundred more in little shit.

Its going to take a mountain of cash to get a sonata into the 11s.

  • @KJBPSkipper Lets just put it this way, your going to need something like 450+ to the tire to even have a prayer from a roll, and from a stop the number would just be astronomical (gonna have to be able to get whooped from the stop and come back on the top end).

I'm sure there are tib's running 11s, but thats still with a ton invested and it weighs way way less than the sonata. I can't believe someone is going to argue this, even on youtube.

  • @testy462 You are just a ford fanboy, and you will argue your point tell you pop a vien,so why can't I!?Hey,I have owned a couple of cool old school fords, and yes they rocked, but in a world with ALL KINDS of weird hopped up cars running around,I just thought I would to be diff.Oh,a tib is not that much lighter, look it up.Did you even try to look up ngm house of power and compare prices? Don't make this a ONE SIDED argument sir and make me look like a crack pot because I choose to be different!

  • @KJBPSkipper Explain in detail oh' great one how a low compression high boost engine tuned to run on 93 octane is unstreetable?See,you are just a big dick weed who has to be right all the time, otherwise, you find great comfort in degrading people...think you are the one who got beat up, not me.HEY,I KNOW,I will go and buy a cheap ass ford mustang and be like the rest of you wanna'be's and you will like me then, and all will be good with the world,LMAO!!!! Who is clueless? You sir.Sheepy.

  • @KJBPSkipper Wait, who is the wannabe? Me, the guy with a 11 second mustang, or you, the guy with hopes and dreams sitting in the garage?

Like I told ya before, go do it, and after you spend 10K+ on just the engine, find out there is no aftermarket support for the suspension, transmission, or the rest of the car. Wonder why its broken all the time and your kids starve because you can't make it to the bank to cash the welfare check.

  • @KJBPSkipper Also, you need to give NGM a call and tell them what you want to do. Remember, you want a car to drive the kids around in (since its your only car) that still gets decent MPG, makes 450~ WHP, and runs 11s, with some sort of reliability. The transmission and halfshafts need to not shatter every time you floor it, and the suspension needs to keep it from spinning (lol). Also you want to spend like 4K. After they get done laughing at you, hang up and come apologize.

  • @testy462 LOLOLOLOL Well said, good sir, well said. I drive a 3.8 genesis coupe , and we're having a damn hard enough time getting a rwd sports coupe into the 12's. 11's on a sonata? HA!
