My bro has a htc desire (same thing as the nexus one, just published with this name because it wasnt out yet in europe) and it has no signal at 50% of all the time :D He spent lots of money for a phone that's not working for phone calls.

@UnloadFM1 That's not actually true. Android was a tiny company making mobile phone apps, then Google bought it and also employed the Android employees to the Google community. I think Android is brilliant, I have a Samsung Galaxy Icon, and I'll have a HTC Desire in a week. Check my channel for reviews on both (I still haven't finished the Galaxy reviews).

@ all of you downers for the android i personally own a droid eris and its WAY better than iphone not as many app but most of droid apps are free (and google has a dev. rescource so you can make your own apps) and like i phone the droid has many home screens, but it has a menu that holds every app on the phone. plus droid come with free mem cars eris is 8gb and moto droid is 16gb.

don't forget that it has a 1 ghz processor while the iphone has like a 600 mhz processor. It has animated wallpapers that actually respond to how you touch it. The 5 MP camera with led flash versus the iphone's 3.2 MP camera without flash. It is running a truly custom android nicknamed Flan and it is gorgeous. There is a video about the Flan on the Nexus somewhere on youtube. This phone is truly a competitor to the iphone (which is old news anyway)

As soon as I saw this I immediately knew that it was designed by HTC because it looks exactly like my Hero.

This is basically just an unlocked version of the Sprint Hero: same camera, same design/shape, same track ball, same softtouch cover, etc. It might have a bigger processor though which the Hero badly needs.

I love google's approach to market releases. They keep the world well informed about their technologies, listen to ideas, release them in advance, work on the shortcomings and then finally provide full fledged service to the end user. This is very much opposite to Apple's approach which is more about secrecy and bringing in products with a bang. Apple always works on the wow factor. But frankly, Google's way is more worthwhile in the long run.
