To be fair, what Spellbound did obviously took a lot more work and was far more difficult and dangerous. That said, it wasn't exactly original. It was just a mass of acrobatics. T&P pulled this together with no outside training and delivered an entirely new way of dancing. So I think T&P deserved the win, in the context of *natural* talent, creativity, and freshness, which is what the show is supposedly looking for. My guess is they thought the Queen would just like the gymnast act better.
