no, in a real game situation you want to hit most of your balls as deep as possible. pushing the oponent back gives him less of a chance to attack. if you hit it lower, it wont be as deep, so the oponent might have opertunities to aproach the net.
I'm not sure if I like this one so much. For advanced players this makes sense but for beginners I would just like to point out that your racket should never stop at any point during the forehand swing. In the last illustration the instructor stopped his racket to demonstrate "feeling the ball" and then finished his swing.
Thanks for your comment. You are correct on the importance of the follow through in tennis. But there are many times when a player will use a modified follow through. One instance is on the reverse forehand. I used that shot in the video. Another time is when your opponent hits an aggressive shot against you. Players need to shorten up their swings and block the ball back.
Regardless, nice observation and thanks for your comment. Go Packers!
Right, I understand that. This video makes sense to me. Sometimes I just see some beginners that take these fulls swings on the run and nearly take their own head off. So I agree with that and second tennis has a lot of feel in the game so it is important to develop to prevent people from hitting balls sky high.
***I think the packers are shooting for the superbowl this year just to make a point to Brett Favre. If they do not they will probably finish 0-16. So mad he retired.
why does it look like they're hitting up???

This coach has the same head microgel radical oversize racquet as me and similar strings on it.

It looks kind of amateur play. You should not lean backwards when you hit forehands, you should change stance at shorter balls and use wrist more.

In the last shot of the video, you switched to a two handed backhand. Why? Your one handed was not a slice, so im wondering, which do you prefer?

well if you are approaching or to finish the point you should but to keep the RALLY alive, you should have nice net clearance everytime.

No, you want the ball to pass at a safe distance over the net. The topspin on the ball will bring it down into the opponent's court.
