@Caitlan30 George Martin has pretty much retired from producing as he has lost some of his hearing, but occasionally does projects with his son Giles for The Beatles. he'chairman of the the Associated Independent Recording (AIR) Studios.
In recognition of his services to the music industry and popular culture, he was made a Knight Bachelor in 1996.
