I thinki I have gone through all or near all *Marty Robbins* on the YOUTUBE links...
I hope someone put some new ones on when they find more.
There was 2 Videos that had gotten removed one was a live show with Porter Wagoner where Marty sang "She's Made Of Faith" it was removed by the person who posted it..Wish I could recall who posted it to ask them to Please put it back on Youtube..
I had all of the eight track tapes of all the music that he ever made. I loved his music and the way he sang to the audience made you want to sit and listen all day. Miss him dearly.
this is the only song i really really hate men are so full of shit like this song says its the devil womans fault total bullshit seems to me a man cant take the blame it takes two to tango and it isnt devil womans who couldnt keep his zipper zipped i still like marty robbins a great voice but this song sucks
50 years ago when my husband was a young sailor and in Nashville, he was in a bar with Marty Robbins and they sat and got shit faced together. I think it is a still a fond memory of my husbands. My what a ham Marty was. Love his voice though.
Well,..I am german I will try it to say in german:
Musik mit Herz und Harmonie und einem excellenten Band Arrangement.
Wo findet man das heute noch so ehrlich.? Entweder bekommt man "Superstars" elektronisch arrangiert auf den Tisch oder Schlager in kitschiger Einheitsoße.
Wer kann mir dieses Konzert besorgen..??? Gruss Mike / Köln
Please anybody can tell me what is the title or name of the concert is this.. I love Marty's songs and huge collector of his songs, cds and dvds.. please let me know. thanks.
@bluejazz51 You may be correct, but I know the guy in the band that Marty refers to as "the banjo player." Judging from some of his pictures and other performances posted here on YouTube, this was from their performance on Austin City Limits. I'll try to remember to ask him about it the next time I see him.
@ljriner You may be right, but it doesn't look like the Austin City Limits set. Where was it recorded?
His demeanor isn't like most artists on Austin City Limits. He's playful like this on the Opry stage. Most artists are more serious when on Austin City Limits.
@bluejazz51 The concert was in 1982 the yr he died. It was recorded in Frankfurt. He was just as playful on the Opry as well. A GREAT performer! I miss him! Not all performer on ACL were serious, look up Geezinslaw (sp)brothers. Check some Nashville Now episodes too. Wear a pad in case you pee your pants.
@ljriner Thanks for the info. I liked Marty a lot. My Mother is a really big fan, and was very sad at his death.
I saw him once live, at the Grand Ole Opry, in the early 70s. I loved TNN. I hated when it went off the air. If you haven't seen it, look for the video of Merle Haggard, doing an exact Marty Robbins impersonation, with Marty sitting there with him. Marty was a funny guy!
Marty knew exactly where he was with the timing of the song. He was just having fun with the lady and the audience. That what was so special about his stage shows. He loved his fans and truly loved performing for them. He joked around all the time while onstage.
wow what a great video of the great marty the best of all times so glad that the best singer of this times did marty songsat the A C M artist of the decades
I love the Brass..it makes the song.....loved Marty..the older he got, the better looking he got....I think his son may do some singing..don't know for sure. I always loved Marty....
will always be dear to the Freshman class of Hinton - '57. We were all "gussied up" and this was "our" song. Great Life and Talent!!
Lived it in the "movies" in the race car, could write and sing songs and could play several instruments!!!!WOW! And Funny too, you can't beat a good sense of humor!!dteellubi
i would like to know more about him-how he actged in school - did he date much-why he happy in his married life because he hardly ever talked about his spouse even when he had his tv shows-did he have a funny reputation like he seems
natural born singer. great man, great song.
