  • present day hunger-gatherer groups rarely catch animals if they're lucky.. they catch more fish... hence the high amounts of EPA/DHA fatty acids that made our brains bigger.

  • If sperm and egg DNA always changes based on the health of the individual... how did we evolve from an ape ancestor? Wouldn't they also have evolved with us? Wouldn't we all be related if we did evolve from one ancestor? - How about the simple notion that whoever designed the biochemical bodies of apes also designed our bodies by refining the mistakes in other apes and thus created an individual unique specie.

  • in the immortalized words of one time traveler:

¨ GET YOUR PAWS OFF ME YOU DAMNED, DIRTY APE !!!¨

    ...´nuff said...

  • how come every illustration or cgi shows the¨ancestors´without facial hair, but we. being so-o-o much more ¨advanced, spend 5 mins a day(!?) for the last 100,000 years (+ / - a few mil ) shaving to get that look?

did our tool making ability put¨evolutionary pressures on our faces to grow beard-n-´staches cuz we could make razors...? hmmm..

my concurrence is hereforeto, not withstanding relevancy,of such recalcitrant ¨nature¨ as to the wherewithal of pertinacity to the hypothesis, one can assume...

  • @ritchloui - I honestly do not care much for your hatered and insulting behaviour. I dont have to answer to you about the fact that Intelligent design is a very real factor. Only time will prove you and your kind wrong. In fact you wont have to wait long, in your own lifetime day of spectacle will prove you wrong.

  • We live in a logical Universe Not a Random-verse.Unlike you, for me its fathomable that theres a very powerfull immortal entity who brought everything into existence through speech and will alone. And that we are the result of His good will. Respect! That what I believe in intelligenbt design and with the freedom to do so. You may believe what you want, lets agree to dissagree.

  • @antiazazel Please don't bring your delusional occultism to subjects you clearly have little knowledge of. Stupid straw dog arguments have apparently convinced you and your comment merely serves to illustrate what a retarding effect certain types of religious belief can have.

  • Great video; it explains so much!

  • @3TllM -Oh no??? You should spend some time with a troop of Chimps and carefully observe them. Cows in India? Cmon man I am not Hindu and certainly dont follow that religion. I respect a cow for the milk it gives me and a steer for the steak on my plate.

  • This is very cool! Thank you!

As you know, the vegans say we don't have big incisors because we're not designed to eat meat. But male baboons do have big incisors because they fight each other for the right to mate with the girl baboons.

With our ancestors, their male to male fights were mostly show, so they didn't need large incisors. So our small incisors have nothing to do with diet.

  • Darwin Rules!!!

  • @tehinfidel -ofc I havent, neither have you or anyone else in the past 6000 years. Only thing that has changed/evolved is mans handywork nothing else. I am ofc part of awesome creation and thats why I am here. If you so much want to be a simple animal and degrade mankind to somethinhg lesser than what we actually are, thats your choice I know better. Logical Universe NOT a Random Universe.

  • @antiazazel Right, my mistake. You clearly haven't evolved.

  • @antiazazel You're insulted because you're not some special little snowflake for which the Universe was made? Grow the fuck up, you tired, complaining child.

  • @tehinfidel-Youve gotto be kidding me. You need just search adequitelly I cant remember exactly. But its widelly known that modern mollecular biology has shown that cells at the subatomic level are way too complex to ascribe to pure chance alone. We live in a logical Universe NOT a random Universe.

  • @antiazazel One of the over 3.3 million hits on google scholar for evolution is about the fusion of the 2nd chromosome in chimpanzees (they have 24 pairs, we have 23). I find this immensely fascinating. The only thing it takes for the variety of life we see is children born different from their parents, and some surviving better than others.

When you were a kid, didn't you turn over rocks just to see what was under them? What happened to that curiosity?

Try to learn something new every day.

  • @antiazazel Cell don't exist at the subatomic level...

  • @antiazazel [citation needed]

  • @alex666493 -Therefore never possible to verify the theory in any way whatsoever. LOL No suprise. Evolutionary theory is a false answer to justify mans wrong-doings. A peodphile and murderer can now say they acted on their primal animal instincts and secular leftist vinnegar urinators can justify them with the false theory of evolution. Take intelligent design out of the equation and man is free from a concience and spiritual morrality.

  • @antiazazel And there is no mention of rape or having multiple wives in the ten commandments...so I guess thats OK!

You can murder as many people, rape and steal as much as you want and then go to confession or say a few prayers and you'll be fine too in the eyes of your god....so get off your imaginary high horse! CLOWN!

Get down on your knees and start pleasing jesus, feel his purity all over your face!

  • @evilyig -One interesting purpose of a false evolutionary theory is that Murderers, peadophiles, etc. have an excuse to do what they do because it is believed they are animals. So it is ok for you to have sex with a child because you are a evolving ape?A lie for all to believe it is ok for everyone to be evil and ugly without any self control or spiritual moral compass. good luck in lonelly emptyness and hoplessness.

  • @antiazazel Murderers and paedophiles will find any excuse at their disposal to get away with what they have done, if you take the attitude of creationism then you are sayin a person is made a certain way (paedophile/gay/homophobe) and then will be punished when they die by god for the way they were made.

Morals were there a long time before religion or even speech, they are the unspoken rules by which all animals live by. Your points are immature and need further reflection.

  • Uhh guys, guess what i'm a reptillain from outerspace, so human evolution deosn't matter to me.

  • This in my humble opinion is nonsense. A mutation would have happened and therefore that animal would have died. simple

  • @demonhorizon

Really, not every mutation is a bad thing. Mutations are the variations of our DNA, the root cause of all diversity. You are simple

  • @HunterWeck Get back to the grasslands you damn dirty ape. In this particular case we are talking about a mutation that would have proved detrimental to the ONE animal it affected. Do you think they broke out the Medi-Care Plan and attended to this 'different' animal, I don't think so. You by far miss the point and despite my blatant recognition that this was only my 'humble' opinion you always get some hot chip up his ass NUTJOB i.e you being rude and uncalled for, thus making YOU simple! ;)

  • @superhamzah85 - Yep, its actually that logical, we live in a Logical Universe NOT a Random Universe. I know enough that there is absolutelly No evidence whatsoever that evolution is a fact. Evolution certyaily does not account for the complexities on a mollecular level. In fact we are way more than pure fleshy husks without a soul. So evolutionists choose the lie so that they may do what they want even have sex with children cos evolution say we are mere animals.

  • @antiazazel Keep ignoring the thousands of corroborating facts that you would never challenge that when added together prove evolution by natural selection as a fact. It's easy to dismiss something as dogma and a "lie" when you're only concerned with validating what you want to believe. Ignore the court rulings where it's been proven beyond a doubt for conservative Christian judges. Ignore reality in favor of your emotional mind.

  • the very questioning you speak of is the means by which we reach actual conclusions instead of our own humanized delusions.

  • Wauw you are very guilable to trust world conditioning and indoctrinations, wheras you should be questioning it outright. And @Atheisst, that peops like yourself express with insults and profanities sure is revealing actually. I refuse to accept the insult that we are no more than monkeys or animals. It is in fact morons who believe the lies by choice. Stupidity aint macho.

  • @antiazazel Read a book.

    No, not that one.

  • @tehinfidel

    the one you haven´t read??

    go on! it don´t bite...!

  • @antiazazel this is what they are teaching us in school. makes complete sense get your head out from under that rocks

  • @antiazazel

You, sir, are a fucking dumbass.

  • @antiazazel

I don't see why anyone should argue with you.

You said nothings evolved in 6000 years. You've pretty much done all the work for us, by publically declaring you know absolutely NOTHING about evolution.

  • @antiazazel are you serious? i don't think so. but if you are, watch this video:

Irreducible complexity cut down to size

  • @antiazazel of course you won't see much change is such a short period of time. Great evolutionary changes take millions of years. You have to stop thinking of time in such small measure and start watching the bigger picture my friend. In the grand scheme of things, all of recorded history is nearly 5000 to 6000 while life has been around for millions of years. Its like catching the last names at the end credits of a movie and judjingd it souly on that...kinda of not so smart.

  • 2 christains, or catholics hit the dislike button

  • Very interesting! thanks for the video

  • I find this video fascinating.

  • Only time can Predict, we will evolve or not!

Sure there are lot changes in our environment,

    everything changes.

So,only Evolution is the way to adopt them....

  • I bet we cant evolve anymore because even if there was a new mutation they wouldn't be able to breed like they did back in the prehistoric times because of rules like marriage.

  • 123nitro - More specifically, Humans won't be evolving anymore because we've mastered our environment. There are no broad selective pressures causing certain traist to be favorable over others. Thanks to our technology and medicine, more are able to survive and pass on their genes than ever before and thats essentially why we are not Evolving anymore.

  • You should email him. I'm sure Dr. Stedman, chair of Gastrointestinal Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania, would be more than happy to mail you the proportion of the 0.459% spent on basic science from the annual federal budget of your personal tax dollars that he used for this accidental discovery while he was working on other things. If he used any at all.

It might end up being a few shavings off a penny, but I bet you'd feel better.

  • I won't allow myself to any critic about chirurgy: it is the only part of medicine that has amazingly improved since these last 20 years.

Intelligence related to brain case capacity was a concept of the 19th century...

Or are all small grown people stupid and all NBA players geniuses?

  • The real question is, why the strong jaw muscles were not needed any more for our ancestors. Maybe they changed their diet.

  • This is also on Nova.

I hope they do an experiment soon where they alter a baby ape's skull and let it's brain grow to maximum size.

  • @ibrahimzx

Blah blah blah. More bald assertions.

  • @tehinfidel I think you mean bold.

  • @Niokih Google before commenting.

  • I wabted to train my jaws for bigger muscles... Is it bad? does this efects my childrens brain capasaty?

  • no, it doesn't.

  • We didn't come from that guy, he's still around. I saw him shopping at big five. That's Big Foot. That's Fred Dukelhiemy from High School.

  • thats fascinating.

  • No remains? What are they holding?

  • wow lol 888 - you fail at science.

  • Do thick skulls prohibit larger brain cases? I don't know. I would like to see comparisons of two similar types of animals (let's say two types of deer) with different skull thicknesses in regards to their brain size. Does the thinner skulled animal always have a bigger brain?

  • This video mentioned how the brain case was able to be much larger with a less developed jaw muscle, no reference to skull thickness.

This would have co-evolved with increasing ability to prepare food such as cracking nuts with stones, grinding seeds and butchering meat to compensate of the weaker jaw.

This also ties into the development of hominid speech and verbal communication.

  • 2:35 "But the thick skull has another effect."

  • @belacoz: In the case of humans, it's the size of the pelvic girdle in women that determins the size of the brain case. A very large portion of a neonate skull is flexible cartilage. I also agree with Treblaine. This is a co-evolved trait, not the cause in itself. We were a marginal creature scavenging meat from larger predators' kills. The additional nutritional benefit is what spurred our increase in brain size as well as cooperative action.

  • Interesting. Thanks for the upload!

  • Interesting video. I never get to watch tv much anymore so it's nice seeing this here.

  • Wow, that vid really helps explaining why braincase size could increase. I had never thought of the reason why it should increase, but that mutation that made for smaller jaws fits very well. Great find.

  • Or should I say, smaller jaw muscles.
