It is John, I went to his Home Grown Tomatoes concert at Fiddler's Green in the Denver area. It was a great concert and I love this song.! Thanks for posting.
Great song.... very catchy beat.... and definitely John Denver..... Rest In Peace John.... you will never be forgotten and I thank you for all the great music you have given us.... you are a treasure, a great artist and songwriter.....
Definately is John Denver. In my time I heard this on LP, Cassette and 8 track. It is definately JD. thanks for posting. I was just thinking of this song as I was enjoying this season's first home grown tomato salad.
This is unequiviqably JOHN DENVER singing 'Homegrown Tomatoes'. I have been a serious fan of John's from the time I was a young child and he was just starting out. I own almost every single CD, DVD and VHS he ever recorded. I saw him in concert 4 times, as well. I stake my reputation on the fact that this is, indeed, John Denver's voice.
my mates dad was an insanely big JD fan, and even looked quite a bit like him, and i remember this track nostalgically from lifts in the car he gave us back in the day.
I appreciate music and don't care who sings it better. I like John's version. I like Guy's version. Howsabout a little less hating and a little more appreciating?
I love this song of John's..It seems kinda playful..I also liked the pictures you used ...many are new to me ...It was fun to sing this song and look at the pictures ...Thanks for posting!
I love this song of John's ...Kinda playful I think...I like the pictures you used ...I haven't seen allot of them so it was nice to sing this song while looking at the new pictures ...Thanks for posting! :)

I saw John in concert on the 70's and 80's and no doubt--it's him!!

This is John Denver singing the song, however the song was written by Guy Clark. Maybe that's the confusion.

Other than my parents and I singing it (as they taught me) when we put in and pick our homegrown tomatoes each year, I've only heard it once.
I can't wait until they're ready!
