Jr is the talent and Sr. is the cry baby. The old man cannot admit that fact that all he does is stand around and claim to be the brains when it is actually Jr. that is the one that produces. I stopped watching this show along time ago because I got tired of Sr. and his constant crying and thinking he is the reason for the success when in fact he is not.
On disc there is another show about a father and a son restauring old muscle cars in the desert ""Desert Car Kings"". That father is such a cool guy, he is about 61 and you cannot help but like him. The way he interacts with his son and his employees. It results in a very good vibe in the shop and on the show, he actually complements his son when he deserves it. It was striking to see the difference between him and Sr.

I can understand Jr., because i use to work for my father too, but I finally understood later on in life that my father owes me nothing, in fact i owe him because of the knowledge he has given me to help me ow and operate my own business. When the class of teenagers went to occ, the girl asked sr wat jr's specialty was. Sr said: he was a designer and just that. One again he didnt give jr his props for all his fabricating he had done on all those bike. Then the girl asked Sr: ""what's your specialty""? Sr paused and said ""Yelling at ppl!"". Here Sr had to recognize to himself that he has no specialty on building bikes, let alone some skill. He realized he would look silly saying he was a fabricator, welder, painter or a desgner.
@Deej1125 Rick and vinnie are great fabricators, but have no real head/love for designing. At leat Rick never tried it on the show, vin has his own shop so he probably is designing his own bikes.

Rick is cool, he is just an easy going guy. I never heard one argument since jr left. Except for the painter that designed the ""Future Bike"" but he didnt go to Sr to let him know what he thought about the changes made in his design.

Working with heavy machinery and metal isn't for the faint of heart and remember Christian made fit when Jason used his tools. He didn't shout at him but he was clearly mad and the look on his face is something that nobody would want to see. As for bald guy (Mike Amaratti), he's probably the only within Sr.'s age group which the reason why he gets along with him.

Senior and Boys I am a dad with 4 kids do not burn your relationship life is too short . Senior when the show has you guys going on trips for potential builds you guys look like your having a blast I would LOVE to be able to do that with my boys and Girls. You also have fun at work . Yelling is OK but not to the extent you do it Senior you make Paul feel like a POS you can see it in his eyes. He is very talented and he Loves you. Get it back together and do another season and be back on top.

Do you think possibly....the whole feud is a set up between Sr and Jr? The producers said the show would've ended if not for the separation. The show is what makes them rich and gets them worldwide exposure. There's a big financial incentive for them to keep the feud going. Paul Sr is a smart business man, so don't believe everything you see on TV.....

I hate to admit Jr. has bad work ethic and Sr. has some points. However, Sr. forgets that without Jr. OCC is not what it is today. Jr. is brilliant. @pirreli5 Senior has had business for many years but prior to American chopper NO ONE had ever heard of O.C.C the show started in order to show case Jr's TALENT and along with that his other son mickey brought an unbelievable fan base with him due to his comic relief on the show.. Snr's been threatened by Paulie for years. When Paulie dropped out to concentrate on his other business the designs lost their edge. Even Snr's Police bike was a copy oif what Paulie did on the fireman's bike
From what I've gathered, OCC is much bigger than Paul Jr. making a couple of bikes for their TV series. From watching a couple of specific shows, I noticed what I believe to be 'teams of builders' at OCC. All the teams have their individual bikes to design and build, according to customer's desires. Consequently, when we see SR. in his office and Jr. bangin bikes out, viewers don't always realize that Sr. is overseeing many bikes built simultaneously by individual teams. His plate is full.

I can't see why they would pick Sr. up without Jr. I mean, I believe he (Sr.) has already made a few bikes since their split and frankly, they were ugly and uglier. No One builds like Paulie! NO ONE! That said, my entire reason for commenting in the first place is that most viewers see Jr doing the work and Sr sitting on his ass. Then I saw a few shows and I realized he had more build teams that we don't often see. So, he does have to manage all that.

From what I've seen after the split, sponsors are NOT beating the doors down to get to Sr. Recently Jr. did a theme bike build on his program. Recently saw one clip on youtube where Sr says he wet to Jr and told him that if he, Jr., didn't come back to work, OCC would have to lay some people off. Jr. declined. I did see one sponsor bike that Sr did. Etched paint was the best! The bike looked good but very cramped,
@bossyboo29 - I honestly don't believe the show would last long if BOTH Sr or Jr were not involved. I mean, these reality shows like, no, make that "LOVE!" drama. Without the Jr and Sr clashing, where's the drama? Sure, Jr could certainly get a season or two out, but without Sr, I don't believe the show would last long and vice versa. Most of these reality shows are so intent on fixing drama they stage much of it. LA INK comes to mind. With Sr and Jr bumping heads, no staging is required!

It is a combination of the great bikes as well as the drama between Sr and Jr. But I still think that if not for Jr's original bike designs, the show wouldn't have taken off with only the fighting between Sr and Jr... With that said, as I said, I think we are both right. It's a combination of the original cool bikes as well as Sr and Jr going at each other that keeps people watching. If not 4 either of those two elements, no American Chopper.

I've even posted that the few bikes Sr has built since their breakup are "ugly and uglier." But, if you have watched Jr's new show, he readily admits that now that he is running his own place, he will have to start getting to work earlier. All I've tried to point out is that Sr isn't just hangin his ass over his desk all day long.

@allsportsbandfan - I don't guess they don't see beyond the theme bikes? OCC has, as we speak, in there showroom, 4-5 "production" bikes (@ $25K-125K ea.) that the public can purchase at anytime. Sure Jr had some influence on these bikes, but his crew does not/ did not mass produce them. The production crew(s) are under Sr's guidance. Sr has placed managers throughout OCC, but no one can authorize a build but Sr. The show needs BOTH guys! Mikey is a good sprinkling of; 'sugar on top.'
@goofydog2 That's very true. It's not just the theme bikes but it's also about the production bikes that they sell to the public. I like Vinnie but most were made by guys like Nick and Christian who I always say are the unsung heroes of OCC. They got my respect when they helped reassemble the Comanche chopper in break-neck time. No questions asked, they just went and got it running.
Choppers are so yesterday and so is OCC. I watched it early on and the show felt relevant to what was happening as far as the whole theme bike deal. The show now is almost delusional if your looking for bike building tips and or ideas. Its now about a very dysfunctional family which episode by episode is imploding before a national audience. Well, its got me watching again because everyone loves a train wreck, so there you go.
fans of the show are being urged to write sr because when vinnie left occ a few years ago cody went with him after graduating bike building school in florida. sr got pissed off and kept the bike that we all saw cody build on t.v. and at the end of the show sr gave it to cody. well sr kept the bike when cody left occ and is planning on selling it. fans should write sr.s website urging him to give back what isnt his. it also has been announced in the papers that occ is on the verge of bankruptcy.
Money can't buy you love. The Beatles got that right. There's a reason pride is a sin. Senior, when you denegrate your son, you denegrate yourself. Maybe Junior's work ethic could have been better, but at heart is every son's need to seperate himself from his father. Junior may have seen OCC as a birthright and felt Senior would never pass the reins to him. I wont watch this anymore. I dont buy this one bit. Why cant we just have a show where they build really cool machines and show you the engineering and inspiration behind it. Why, because a much better way to attract viewers, advertisers and err make money is to concoct a storyline of family feuds and lawsuits. Shame on OCC and shame on anyone who buys into this. If your a big fan of this series just see it as your favourite work of fiction.

Sr. didn't "hand" Jr. anything. I don't seem to recall Sr. doing the designing and fabrication on any of the bikes that made them as famous as they are today. Jr. did all of the that stuff. Yes, Sr. started the business, but it would have never reached the levels it did without Jr's. creative input. Paul Teutul Jr. was the genius behind it all.
@masanf You are so right, but I would say Paulie deserved to be fired. His work ethic was way down. Now that he has his own shop he gets the idea. I do agree it was Jr's designs that made the shop. Look at all the bikes that have went out since he left. I have a hard time now telling if it is a OCC chopper or some guy in his garage doing the same thing with off the shelf parts. Within 5 years we had over 100 employees and had revenues of 300m. thats when the problems started. On disc there is another show about a father and a son restauring old muscle cars in the desert ""Desert Car Kings"". That father is such a cool guy, he is about 61 and you cannot help but like him. The way he interacts with his son and his employees. It results in a very good vibe in the shop and on the show, he actually complements his son when he deserves it. It was striking to see the difference between him and Sr.

SR. was doing steroids and I tend to think his blow up were mainly Roid Rage events but lately if you look at him he's lost a lot of the bulk from the roids so seems he has stopped taking them since he got caught with them... Maybe now after they work their way out of his system he will can look back an see where he is the reason for OCC's downfall..

I can understand Jr., because i use to work for my father too, but I finally understood later on in life that my father owes me nothing, in fact i owe him because of the knowledge he has given me to help me ow and operate my own business. One again he didnt give jr his props for all his fabricating he had done on all those bike. Then the girl asked Sr: ""what's your specialty""? Sr paused and said ""Yelling at ppl!"". Here Sr had to recognize to himself that he has no specialty on building bikes, let alone some skill. He realized he would look silly saying he was a fabricator, welder, painter or a desgner.

Senior and Boys I am a dad with 4 kids do not burn your relationship life is too short . Senior when the show has you guys going on trips for potential builds you guys look like your having a blast I would LOVE to be able to do that with my boys and Girls. You also have fun at work . Yelling is OK but not to the extent you do it Senior you make Paul feel like a POS you can see it in his eyes. He is very talented and he Loves you. Get it back together and do another season and be back on top.

Do you think possibly....the whole feud is a set up between Sr and Jr? The producers said the show would've ended if not for the separation. The show is what makes them rich and gets them worldwide exposure. There's a big financial incentive for them to keep the feud going. Paul Sr is a smart business man, so don't believe everything you see on TV.....

I hate to admit Jr. has bad work ethic and Sr. has some points. However, Sr. forgets that without Jr. OCC is not what it is today. Jr. is brilliant. The kids made that show their father had absolutley no imput on the show other than yelling screaming and constanly runnin his kids down. Yes Jr. is into design man, the show is about THEME bikes

@pirreli5 Its not a show on mass producing bikes its about creating art and something unique , you mention team work, but if you have watched the show where is the team work when you come in mid day sit in yer office , and then come out yelling and screaming trying to come off as some bad ass, at the hair club unveil where was the theme on that bike ? hell a fifth grader could have done a better intro on that bike than senior did. In one of the first fight they ever had Jr. warns Sr.

From what I've gathered, OCC is much bigger than Paul Jr. making a couple of bikes for their TV series. From watching a couple of specific shows, I noticed what I believe to be 'teams of builders' at OCC. All the teams have their individual bikes to design and build, according to customer's desires. Consequently, when we see SR. in his office and Jr. bangin bikes out, viewers don't always realize that Sr. is overseeing many bikes built simultaneously by individual teams. His plate is full.

First, The Jet Bike, then The Black Widow Bike, The Fire Bike, The Comanche Bike, The Lance Armstrong Bike, The I, Robot Bike, Junior's Dream Bike, The Statue of Liberty Bike, The Trim Spa Bike, The Snap-on Bike, The Dixie Chopper Bike, The Carroll Shelby Bike, The Lincoln Mark LT Bike, etc. Everyone of the bikes designed by Jr. If no Jr, no show.

I can't see why they would pick Sr. up without Jr. I mean, I believe he (Sr.) has already made a few bikes since their split and frankly, they were ugly and uglier. No One builds like Paulie! NO ONE! That said, my entire reason for commenting in the first place is that most viewers see Jr doing the work and Sr sitting on his ass. Then I saw a few shows and I realized he had more build teams that we don't often see. So, he does have to manage all that.

From what I've seen after the split, sponsors are NOT beating the doors down to get to Sr. Recently Jr. did a theme bike build on his program. Recently saw one clip on youtube where Sr says he wet to Jr and told him that if he, Jr., didn't come back to work, OCC would have to lay some people off. Jr. declined. I did see one sponsor bike that Sr did. Etched paint was the best! The bike looked good but very cramped,

Without the Jr and Sr clashing, where's the drama? Sure, Jr could certainly get a season or two out, but without Sr, I don't believe the show would last long and vice versa. Most of these reality shows are so intent on fixing drama they stage much of it. LA INK comes to mind. With Sr and Jr bumping heads, no staging is required!

It is a combination of the great bikes as well as the drama between Sr and Jr. But I still think that if not for Jr's original bike designs, the show wouldn't have taken off with only the fighting between Sr and Jr... With that said, as I said, I think we are both right. It's a combination of the original cool bikes as well as Sr and Jr going at each other that keeps people watching. If not 4 either of those two elements, no American Chopper.

I've even posted that the few bikes Sr has built since their breakup are "ugly and uglier." But, if you have watched Jr's new show, he readily admits that now that he is running his own place, he will have to start getting to work earlier. All I've tried to point out is that Sr isn't just hangin his ass over his desk all day long.

@allsportsbandfan - I don't guess they don't see beyond the theme bikes? OCC has, as we speak, in there showroom, 4-5 "production" bikes (@ $25K-125K ea.) that the public can purchase at anytime. Sure Jr had some influence on these bikes, but his crew does not/ did not mass produce them. The production crew(s) are under Sr's guidance. Sr has placed managers throughout OCC, but no one can authorize a build but Sr. The show needs BOTH guys! Mikey is a good sprinkling of; 'sugar on top.'

I like Vinnie but most were made by guys like Nick and Christian who I always say are the unsung heroes of OCC. They got my respect when they helped reassemble the Comanche chopper in break-neck time. No questions asked, they just went and got it running.

Choppers are so yesterday and so is OCC. I watched it early on and the show felt relevant to what was happening as far as the whole theme bike deal. The show now is almost delusional if your looking for bike building tips and or ideas. Its now about a very dysfunctional family which episode by episode is imploding before a national audience. Well, its got me watching again because everyone loves a train wreck, so there you go.

fans of the show are being urged to write sr because when vinnie left occ a few years ago cody went with him after graduating bike building school in florida. sr got pissed off and kept the bike that we all saw cody build on t.v. and at the end of the show sr gave it to cody. well sr kept the bike when cody left occ and is planning on selling it. fans should write sr.s website urging him to give back what isnt his. it also has been announced in the papers that occ is on the verge of bankruptcy.

Maybe Junior's work ethic could have been better, but at heart is every son's need to seperate himself from his father. Junior may have seen OCC as a birthright and felt Senior would never pass the reins to him. Senior, we luv ya, but health and family is more important than business, especially as you are now finacially secure. Peace for all.

I wont watch this anymore. I dont buy this one bit. Why cant we just have a show where they build really cool machines and show you the engineering and inspiration behind it. Why, because a much better way to attract viewers, advertisers and err make money is to concoct a storyline of family feuds and lawsuits. Shame on OCC and shame on anyone who buys into this. If your a big fan of this series just see it as your favourite work of fiction.

Sr. didn't "hand" Jr. anything. I don't seem to recall Sr. doing the designing and fabrication on any of the bikes that made them as famous as they are today. Jr. did all of the that stuff. Yes, Sr. started the business, but it would have never reached the levels it did without Jr's. creative input. Paul Teutul Jr. was the genius behind it all.

@masanf You are so right, but I would say Paulie deserved to be fired. His work ethic was way down. Now that he has his own shop he gets the idea. I do agree it was Jr's designs that made the shop. Look at all the bikes that have went out since he left. I have a hard time now telling if it is a OCC chopper or some guy in his garage doing the same thing with off the shelf parts. I could go to any machine shop and get the rims made.

money is the root of all evils. I can relate to what is going on there. I had a small business that I started and I brought my sons and family in. Within 5 years we had over 100 employees and had revenues of 300m. thats when the problems started. Its like when I got married, I was the happiest living in a 1 bedroom apartment. when I moved into my 15000 sq ft home I was miserable. its like everyone wants a piece of you. Everytime I spent money the family saw there inheritance dwindle.
