You are using a Yamaha silent brass to plug the trombone into the Disortion pedal ? I used to do that too but now I use a standard clip-on mic. Nice job !
i dont understand it...but im sure its a good piece. Lol its really cool how you run the trombone through a distortion pedal, i never knew that was possible
...The chorus of Perfect Situation starts out with the following pattern of notes: B up to G, A up to F# ("ooooooh oh. ooooooh oh."). I use that figure, and permutations of it, a lot in the piece - for example at 4:39. The loud pounding chords around 3:33 were inspired by the piano opening of Perfect Situation. Other ways it comes out are the use of distorted trombone to represent electric guitar and using the complex rhythms that occur from Rivers singing against the beat. - lauren
...The section most like a quote of Perfect Situation happens during the distorted trombone solo at 2:06. I would have quoted more directly, but didn't want to infringe on copyright. But hopefully, you can hear something similar to the opening notes of the Perfect Situation here ("What's the deal with my brain? Why am I so obviously insane...")
Hi asaturn, thanks for listening. So many Weezer fans have listened to this piece and that makes me incredibly happy. I'm sorry to dissapoint some people who are expecting to hear a lot of Perfect Situation quoted in this piece. That wasn't my intention in writing it. It's a tribute, but not in the usual sense of a rock tribute. covering a song and not calling it your own does not infringe copyright. but a very good piece nevertheless. :o)
