The Corvette has the better engine. The Ferrari may have some HP more, but the Corvette engine is much cheaper, more durable and easier to maintenance. Nevertheless, the 458 is a great car. Its concept (mid engine, high revs, etc) is complete different to the ZR1, the performace is similar. I like Ferrari very much, but the cost-fun ratio is just too bad, so i stick to Corvette, until i can afford both ;)

Ferrari make a N/A 6.0L V12 with 700HP when you compare, the vette is very poor engine.
Koenigsegg make a 4.7L V8 Supercharged with 800hp, the engine is Small in comparo to Vette but yet it so much more powerful.

About your question. It depends, more pistons typically mean more HP more Liters typically mean more Torque.

And not all american cars have shitty quality, look at Ferrari using american suspension on the 458, which happens to be the best suspension in the world. In addition, Ferrari 458 v10 producing 560 hp while corvette v8 pushing 638. I would assume the corvette engine is more sophisticated, even at a higher displacement

The ZR1 has a huge 6.2L V8 Supercharged which isn't N/A only getting 638hp!! Which is very poor for such a huge engine which a supercharger stuck on it.
Ferrari make a N/A 6.0L V12 with 700HP when you compare, the vette is very poor engine.
Koenigsegg make a 4.7L V8 Supercharged with 800hp, the engine is Small in comparo to Vette but yet it so much more powerful.

@namybot If you really read at how much displacement actually increases the engine size, its minimal. Dont you think two liters more is better than two cylinders more? There is no replacement to displacement. Second of all, corvette has a v8 N/A at 500, that means it produces more per cylinder than Ferrari 458. Both cars are awesome, i just wish Ferrari was more affordable, i think its over engineered. Dont compare the Koenigsegg, its more than 5 times a corvettes price. Give Americans credit

About your question. It depends, more pistons typically mean more HP more Liters typically mean more Torque.
Ferrari always tend to get the best out the both with very small engines. Apart from the N/A 6.0L V12 which has 700hp plus!!!!

The Koenigsegg Agera R has a 5.?L V8 Supercharger, producing 1115hp it is faster 0-200mph than a veyron SS and has a top speed of 264mph and you still get a full interior with high quality feel and designed car. You pay for what you get.
This Viper has 1400hp and can hardly hit 220, with a nasty FIA GT1 STYLE interior.

If you drag race and F1 car against a TF dragster, no matter how much you wish, the F1 car will be decimated. Even if you drag over a half mile and the TF car runs, blows the engine, and costs it will still not win.
I understand F1 cars are faster around a track, I didn't think you'd actually argue that fact but I was mistaken.

Unless I'm mistaken speed is simply how fast an object is moving, velocity is how fast an object changes position, in both cases TF dragsters reign supreme. Are you trying to justify that an F1 car is faster because it came make it's way around a race track while a TF dragster cannot?

TFD speed cannot match that of F1 but F1 Velocity cannot match that of TFD.
Seem as Speed is more technical than Velocity it is F1 that reign Supreme.
Get it into your small fucking hill-billy minds, F1 is much more of an advanced, technical respectable, faster sport that TFD.

@iPROFITDON even some nascar cars are faster than a F1, how does 230 mph sound? and as far as i know F1 cars go to 200-210...im not very sure but...
