  • LOVE THAT SAX!!

  • Is this the band that became the Turtles?

  • who played the Killer Sax and bass on this song?

  • Sorry OlderMusicLover; I wasn't clear in my comment! What I meant was that this song; Fiberglass Jungle by the Crossfires, was a " killer jam " with " menacing sax & guitar ".

  • Thanks so much for this post.came ascorss this on acd with old surf music on it.

  • Al Nichol is said to have got the inspiration for this one from looking out on to a beach with many surfers and their boards - a fiberglass jungle. Much underated over time but enjoyed here.

  • As the Crossfires they played this at the Revalaire Club in Redonod and in Choir 1963-4 Westchester High School

  • I have this on one of my Rock Instrumental Classics CD compilations! Sounds like a song from a Quentin Tarantino flick! GREAT guitar!!

  • Al Nichol letting em have it good and proper. Jaguar guitar ?

  • @betabloca found out that is the same kind of guitar used for Pipeline

  • Surf guitar is amazing. SOMEONE NEEDS TO MAKE A CLASSIC SURF BAND WITH ME IN MY TOWN!!!!

  • Killer jam! Menacing Sax & Guitar!

  • @Petemonster62 WHO DID THOSE?

  • This obscure 1963 instrumental was performed on the Capco label by the group that, two years later, became known as THE TURTLES. As The Crossfires, the L.A. group also has another obscure record ("That'll Be The Day") on the Lucky Token label.

  • @vandywilliam is that the one the quarrymen did?
