  • your so right this shit is timeless

  • @pureaggression true dat it wont last

  • @pureaggression KANYE IS HIPHOP FAM...MAKE NO MISTAKE..HE'S NOT IN THE SAME CATEGORY WITH WAYNE AND THEM

  • @pureaggression why do you promote those names where that real hip hop is located just let what is already known stay known but unspoken around the real son

  • @OAlEzeO

with your logic there wouldnt be much to add on the comment section.. he wrote those names to those who still bother with listening to them, that might make them think different.. everyone that peep this track dont necessarily listen to good music

  • @OAlEzeO I believe i feel that way now. sometimes you just crack and lose it haha but youre right, so true.

  • fuck clipse

  • is this a remix?? cuz the lyrics are from Group home - Livin Proof.. or at least a couple o rhymes..

  • Peace Emporio! Mack - a mil kid! Thats that time capsule shit right there! Wish there was a way to go back in time to those good ole days and just vibe like it was then! God bless us gettin older and like Rakim said, those memories mean a lot cause you cant bring 'em back. Oh well, at least we have cuts like this that preserve those unforgettable times. Peace to everyone who can remember a good feeling that hip-hop gave you! Word to mutha! Brooklyn stand up!

    Oz

  • fresh, classic, smooth....

  • It took my friends and myself a long time to find this song on anything recorded, classic , real rap.

  • Wow I was just thinking about this song. I was blasting this song a few months ago. Muthafkazz don't know.

  • I play this song in my mind whenever so called friends pop up. my friends my socalled friends.

  • GR8 GR8 GR8

  • YO Guru Makes Nice beat...sometimes i wonder why he just doesn't produce his own beats full-time when he's not Gang Starring. But styll he co-produces i guess.

  • @Tha6l9 i thought DJ premier produced them?

  • @Tha6l9 maybe its because he died from cancer?

  • @Take2nPass

I said that two years ago.

  • @Take2nPass dumbass

  • @Tha6l9 beat for primo

  • THANKZ FOR POSTIN THIS..........this album is way hard to find in Chicago

  • Only 500 copies of this album printed worldwide! That's why it's so hard to find.

  • WORD!.....it'z no wonder,i should have snatched the album when i had the chance

  • bullshit

  • my favorite shit back in the day

  • This flow with the beat is sick...

  • damn after this tape f'd up... i took the grey shit out the middle then it worked fine.tapes are my frens

  • 'now all you pussy n*ggaz know where my heart is at'

  • Group is like the street knowledge version of Slick Rick. Keeps our youth alive longer when they assert wiser descisions, not more intelligent. Gtta keep the wheels spinning. The only universal constant, wich would be a base ormula to aplly when rooting new systems based on natural laws.

  • I used to have this music device called a DVR that is like music choice today and I used to leave it on the hip-hop station on record with a 120 minute tape to try and catch this! It took a while but I finally did...and I wore it out! The sample came from Ohio Players "Sweet Sticky Thing".

  • word i wish i had one of those and i was so hooked on this song i broke my damn cassette cuz i kept rewinding it back

  • wow, i love this already - thank you man

    GROUP HOME FOREVER

  • man i remember i almost bought this joint but i spent too much money in the arcade street fighter is my CRACK sorry it happens!!

  • One of my favourite Songs !

Rolling the dice take a chance on your life!

People doubt Group home lyrical ability but Melachi is sick on this... and they flow ill too plus the fucking dope beats by PRemier

  • im 29!

i listened this this joing at the Tony Fergunson part! As i listened a loto of street hip hop like hirogliphics!

  • I just love this track... guys, can you direct me to the lyrics somehow? Or even put it here, thanks;)

  • hip hop aint just bout lyrics nah group home wasnt the dopest lyricist but they flow and dj premier beats ALWAYS bang...i love group home gods

  • amen to that

  • a part of the song are the same lyrics as Living proof'

  • i love that old crazy shit....92-96 best hip hop years

  • right. what happened to hip-hop after 96'? damn.

  • What about Big Pun, Big L, Outkast, Eminem, Jay Z( before he put a suit on ), Nas, Gangstarr, etc. They all put out good shit after '96. Big Pun put out a certified classic with CAPITAL PUNISHMENT in '98, Outkast and GangStarr both put out classics in '98 with "Aquemini" and "Moment of Truth." Jay- z dropped a classic with "Blueprint" and I think "Hard Knock Life" is great not a classic tho. I know what you mean though, '97 kicked off the bling bling era, thanks to that bitch Diddy

  • true. rip big l.

  • didn't mention the almighty...WU!!

  • Damn forgot WU? I musta been dusted or sutmin, Wu put out FOREVER in 97 basically the best shit they ever did if ya ask me, well 36 Chambers i like a little better just because it's 36 Chambers but FOREVER is better production wise

  • what about Raekwon? Cuban Links 2 is a classic man.

  • fuck yeah it is

  • good stuff

  • yeah that nigga was 15 we the same age

  • did he say "i'm ony 15" ?????????

  • yup Melachi and Lil Dap were very young when there were in the Gang Starr foundation.

  • this track reminds me of the good ol' days...

  • Was a Bonus Track on my Version of the "Livin Proof" - Album.

Though Dap and Nutcracka won't go down as the greatest lyricists in history, the track is still highly addictive.

  • that ill kid lp is good innit?

  • group home debut...lil dap had done verses already though with G S....right?

  • Big Shug doing the hook

  • yup. i heard Guru and Big Shug conversing over a mixtape interlude. Guru stated that he and Big Shug started gangstar in like 88. did Premier (as Wax Master C, maybe) join in 1989?

  • That's Exactly right.

  • holy fucking shit i havent heard this since i was 14 CLASSIC

  • i luv dat shit!!!! real hip hop!
