I got the non-facelift Fabia with a 1.6 engine and while i'd not trade the exterior of the car for the new one, I'd like some of the interior elements on mine. Especially the new look of the Maxi-DOT. :D
Btw, I hope you got the 16" (well, now possible with 17" too) rims. Those wider tires help with breaking :)
Nice acceleration! Although has only 4 hp more than my 1.4 16 v is much faster due to turbo. And I hate what you call "ground retarders", always ruining the fun and the car's suspension elements.
That really is astounding for what appears at first glance to be a very small engine. VW have given the SKODA some brilliant engines and that DSG is what puts the icing on the cake. I have now decided I want a diesel with a DSG and will be looking at the range on sale from SKODA. You get such a lot of car for your money. In the UK Skoda was once a joke, not any more, some police forces use the Octavia VRS as a pursuit car! I think they are great value for money.
@wibroy: Yes, we are always using 95 octane petrol. I don't have a problem at all. Beautiful acceleration always I want! I have passat CC 1,8 TSI as well and I must say that fabia 1,2 have a best pressure to seat than passat ;-) I love it!
@suixothekid Ugh, it's a great low capacity engine, probably the best out there, but on a yeti? That car definitely needs the 1.8 4x4 TSI or the 103kW 2 litre diesel.
I'd like to get the RS but I'll probably just end up with a fully equipped sportline model with this engine. I wanted an Octavia, but if I was to get the 1.8tsi with no equipment whatsoever, it would still be more expensive than a Fabia with all the interior comforts I want :)
@Random1598 I know the yeti isnt a performance car.. I even like low height cars but the yeti its pratical because (in my opinion) is like a Quasquai. However i already tested the 1.4tsi 160hp with DSG on a Golf and must say: if you want economy, fun and power thats the right engine. Fabia vs Polo => Fabia wins in every aspect. Good luck with your choice!
@suixothekid Fabia only beats Polo in one aspect, price. Everythin else is better in Polo, exterior, interior, equipment, looks, image, and the new Fabia is based on the old Polo, 10 yrs old platform, or even more.
@pa3op89nbg Sorry but can't agree. I'm 1,90m tall and when I sat on the back of the polo my head was on the roof of the car. There was no problem in the Fabia. Little things make difference. You can get by the price of the Polo Trendline a Fabia with some extras. I agree that the polo is better looking and has some better equipment but in the end the fabia I think the Fabia wins. Price and space are two important things for me.
@suixothekid My Fab arrived just the other day, I made 400km in 2 days. Soon as I get over 1500 km I will make some videos and upload them. Greetings.
@MrBantina They write that 5,6. Real consuption with automatic transmition is about 6,8 but it's not possible to drive slow with this engine. Anyway the engine have only 1500 km driven, with higher number is consuption lower, maybe around 6,0 it stops.
@sseevveerriinn I think it can easily go down to 5.0-5.5l/100km, to the factory values. It's a turbo, and you can lower the consumption. The best thing is, for the firs 50-100 000 km, it will go better and better every kilometer! :D Mine arrives in 3 months, only it's 5 speed manual!
@TheCarista And can you imagine what will do 1.4 engine, 180HP in the same type of car? Fabia RS! That must be realy fast!!! I think it's the best low contain engine on the market
@sseevveerriinn oh yea H:D 180hp with the dsg transmission.. 0-100 in 7 seconds..great facts.. ok.. the fabia rs costs about 18 000 euro.. no matter , i would buy it...
@sseevveerriinn - this is a fact brother. 1,2 and 1,4 liter TSI won nearly all the prices for engines that there are available. it's unreal what VW does these days for normal people
1.2 TSI is f.cking powerful car, I had stunts with 1.9 TDI Seat ibiza and he ran away only of lenght of car... amazing, the 1.4 TSI have 180 HP, imagine that power
question. can you order the car to look like an RS but have the 1.2 tsi? 1.4 is heavily taxed in my country and i love the RS look.
