  • the only reason why this movie was a box office disaster was beacause it was exposing the truth about the elite. This is one of their future plans of total control. If you haven't seen the movie 1984

  • Revolution happens fast in those parts...

  • Coolest way of gun-reloading and shooting, ever, in the most underrated movie!

  • dude you just got killed by a freakin scabbard, you are the epitome of lame

  • @MegaLogic3

I watched the movie like 3 times, and this ending and videos of the fight scenes like 100 times now, because this movie rocks. And I always thought exactly the same. But now I got it: These are the two guards standing on the OTHER side of the door, and he shoots them through the door. Its not a mistake or something. When Prston enters the room where Brandt and Dupont are waiting, there are 4 guards laying on the ground. Watch it again and you will notice it :)

  • ...this is how i dispute the late charges on my credit card bill...

  • Next time someone flat lines the lie detector, take cover, because you know stuff's gonna get real.

  • And they both went deaf from guns going off right beside their heads.

  • the bad guys seem to have dust instead of blood...

  • Wow. The arrogant, self-absorbed bad guys. The good guy saying "enough" and owning their asses. This was like a mini version of the Mavericks/Heat matchup.

  • And then humanity destroys itself entirely as each discover their emotions for the first time.

  • Screw the Matrix... This fight scene has it all over the Matrix. Hell yeah... Equilibrium still rules!

  • 4:22 HEYYY!!!! HE'S SUPPOSED TO HAVE NO EMOTIONS.!!! THE FUCK?!!

  • @HanmaHayes I KNOW RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!???????

  • @HanmaHayes Then you didn't understand the movie.

  • The discrete smile at the end is badass.

  • 7:43 Anyone else notice the other grammaton's sliced face on the floor?

  • Honestly, ever since Preston changed sides, the IQ of the black bucket heads dropped by 50%...

They easily killed the rebels in the first half of the film, than they fall without putting up a real fight. This contrast is the only thing I don't like in this, otherwise, magnificent film.

  • @bbenjoe

Notice though in the start it's the assault teams that kill the rebels, these guys were just "guards" if anything.

  • 4:20 -- You can see the tiniest it of the guy hiding behind the column to Preston's (Bale's) left.

  • the way he shoots the computers at 8:30 is the way I want to destroy all computers with Facebook on it.

  • This reminds me of Simpsons episode with Mel Gibson.

  • It's interesting how the flashes of Preston's Gun Barrel fire are the same design and pattern as the "Nazi" style symbol of father.

  • HANDS DOWN THE BEST SCENE EVER!

  • What did it mean when the things stopped moving?

  • @pampamproductions he was trained to fight without emotion and he was going into badass destroy everything mode. the machine was hooked up to detect emotion.

  • "I'd pay it gladly,"

  • those black soldier dudes really suck:))

  • At 9.05 that's a reference to Aldous Huxley..brave new world, for those who can read..

  • @RainbowWWwarrior There's a lot of Huxley in that movie. E. g. this drug they take everyday. Doesn't it remind you of soma? However, the climate of both works is totally different. Huxley's novel isn't that serious (the real idea is on a deeper level), but has a sad ending, unlike this movie. Maybe a comparison to "Nineteen Eighty-Four" would be more accurate?

  • @zielonyuszatek Yes you're right..but the soma doesn't inhibit the emotion, it's the conditioning which doesn't appear in equilibrium, i mean the hypnopaedia ... i think that 1984 is more realistic than equilibrium and brave a new world, yes that true, those two novels are often compared...sorry for my english ^^

  • Hmm this guy can get red tiger cammo pretty easily...

  • Search "gun kata" online and it would suggest this particular scene.

  • Realistically, I don't get why anyone would involve in hand-to-hand gunfights when he could just physically step back and shoot from a short distance away.

Hand-to-hand gunfights, however, do make great films.

  • @19andoverlol because the second you tried to step away you'd get shot

  • The fighting in 6:34 looks like sticky hands practice from Wing Chun!..except with guns and more movement of course lol.

  • After that close-range gun duel Preston wouldn't be able to hear a fucking thing for weeks. His ears would be bleeding like a fucking motherfucker too. Fuck.

  • The best thing about Equilibrium finale was the final confrontation between Preston and Brandt. After the tension that was build between those two characters throughout the whole movie, after the training scene, we all expected epic and evenly-matched duel. Yet, the only thing we received was a few strikes :)

That was so non-cliche, and anti-climatic, that it immediatly become one of my favourite battle scenes in cinema history:)

Not to mention"Equilibrium"is full of such stuff.

    Epic movie

  • @NeveranticStory yeah i love that because in the movie they talk about the most efficient combat styles and such, so no fights really drag out due to his insane skills.

  • 2:50 THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID!!!!!!!!

  • @raven66614 zing

  • "Guards! Whatever you do, do absolutely NOTHING that will put Preston in danger!"

  • Worst. Guards. Ever! Even the storm troopers in starwars sometimes hit people. these guards just stand there until they get shot.

  • 10:05-10:12 Christian Bales thoughts:" I'm so BADASS! OH YEA!"

  • Guards at the end just get pwned :P

  • moufa

  • I LIKE JORDANIME'S PIXELIBRIUM >:/

  • no more fried chicken for you faceless nigga.

  • omfg why helmet? WHY? Motorcycle club are what?

  • @tortex088 It was a low-buget movie, and the biker helmets gave a cheap and evil-sorta look to the sweepers.

  • lol 5:18 he gets stabbed with seath not with sword xD

  • and not a single drop of blood on his nice white outfit!!

  • pnwed.

  • If you think about the plot,it reminds both "Matrix" and "Total Recall"...good movie,though...

  • Hmmmm, if I have to choose between this or nazi, I think I would go with Nazi. Which would you choose?

  • So I assume that the heads of the Resistance get killed anyways

  • duuuude ive never heard of this movie till i saw this. i gotta buy this movie now! are there more scenes like this one in it???

  • @ 5:30 - One of the scenes you actually see a Face-off work on two levels

  • This is the most underrated Movie ever this is art

  • At least Mila Jojovich is a nice piece of ass

  • @KeyserSoseRulz shes a nice piece of stiff flat wooden board

  • Look at the end, the opening into the wall has the shape of a T , it refers to the novel of Aldous Huxley "le meilleur des monde" in french, sorry for my english.

Read this novel, it's far better than this movie.

  • at 7:43 you can see the other guy's face that he cutt off on the floor near his foot

  • the ending is good but its kinda dramatic

  • Preston meets ultra violet?

  • @SantaMOD You realize that this movie came first, and that Ultraviolet was made by the same director, right?

  • Man, if only I could do what Preston did, I could get away with ANYTHING!! I wish I could do that, I've always wanted his skill!

  • kick ass ending

  • 9:45 - Ridiculous death scene. =)

  • 9:54 now where have i seen that train before? :P

  • 50 people yes but it seems people keep forgetting that at exactly 00:30:08 in the movie..fathers voice DuPont explains how the cleric manages to avoid the oncoming gunfire.

  • Comment removed

  • @wissper198 , inflicting maximum damage on the maximum number of opponents while keeping the defender clear of the statistically traditional trajectories of return fire. By the rote mastery of this art, your firing efficiency will rise by no less than 120%. The difference of a 63% increase to lethal proficiency makes the master of the gun katas an adversary not to be taken lightly.

  • @wissper198 DuPont: The gun katas. Through analysis of thousands of recorded gunfights, the Cleric has determined that the geometric distribution of antagonists in any gun battle is a statistically predictable element. The gun kata treats the gun as a total weapon, each fluid position representing a maximum kill zone,

  • @wissper198 cool knowledge, but how do you know all this? It's pretty neat!

  • @Machinegunkelly6000 oh lol i was quoting the movie..its what Vice-Counsel DuPont says when preston is over looking the recruits studying the gun katas...

  • Would be tight if they made a video game off of this

  • @FloundTine i know...should have easily taken down those pistols....especially if there are like 50 of them...but no Preston won

  • @onwardparasites it says in the movie how he manages to avoid gunfire, and who cares if its fake!

  • I mean... pretty sweet but holy crap it's so... fake... A bad word to use but.... like.... 50 people suffering from the stormtrooper effect? Booooo

  • It's a bit silly

  • Awsomely Epic! The music, the fighting, and just the plot ending! I'm so happy they made Equilibrium :)

  • Love this film .

  • I love the stupid grin on Taye Diggs face when "Father" makes the joke. He's thinking to himself "Oh snap!, Father cracked a Joke!" On a more serious note, notice how throughout the movie "Father" was emotional in many scenes, and look at this office. How he has lavish pillars, and curtains and art. Kind of hypocritical eh? :)

  • epic or awesome?

  • Sweetest last sword fight with Taye Diggs. Absolutely bad ass.

  • I've always wondered why he "stops feeling" before he cleans the room... is it something grammatonclerics do? because I mean he feels otherwise.. so why stop then? maybe it's just for effects xP

  • @dulf87

Isn´t it his heartbeat they are meassuring?

  • @carfoz so you mean that he becomes undead retradin? :P

  • @dulf87 It was measuring emotional activity in the brain but as you could see the increase he got to the point where he had so much anger he doesnt care anymore and means hes just going to senselessly kill everyone :) , is awsome. And as many have said its completely realistic, as you saw those guns were on auto and they fire more like uzi's so he was sharing his bullets equally so that each guard found it impossible to hit him as they were being shot at constantly :), besides its a movie :P

  • Awesome scene!

  • very dusty soldiers......................

  • headshot....

  • this looks about as good as a Uwe Boll movie...

  • Combining hand-to-hand combat and guns is possibly the best idea ever.

  • @jcgamer107 Nice idea. The whole statistic aspect of "gun kata" in "Equilibrium" is the only attempt to explain the "storm trooper effect" in the history of action movies.

  • this movie needs a sequel!

  • face falling off was a big wtf moment

  • 6:08 nigga fail

  • wow he has a really fast trigger finger!

  • "mmmm"-creepy guy with the big lip

  • The sound when he hits the guys face sounds like some sort of taser.

  • twas badass baby

  • lmfao black guy got pwned bigtime lmao and he thought he was a badass with everything in his hands hahahahaha preston ftw

  • @coldestfrostx4 But when his face fell off, it was stupid. He didn't even bleed.

  • this movie = LMFAO

especially at 7:43 when you can see the guy's face on the ground

  • Preston looked down from the tower and viewed the devastation of Libria. And for the first time in his entire life, he smiled.

  • This movie is driping badassery

  • funny how the bad guys always have bad aim

  • 4:23

Taye Diggs smiles humorously, but he doesn't know he'll get diced like a little bitch.

    Great movie. :)

  • They need to reinvent martial arts to be more like this. Owning like this with guns instead of sword (or learn both).

  • but how does it end? ive nvr seen this but im doing my review on it for homework i have no time to watch it. Preston realized the beauty of feeling emotion and realizes he's been workin for the government the whole time! what happens later on tho?

  • @azncoolz this is it this is the end he kills father and then the rebellion takes over

  • I'm entering Preston in a contest of best sci-fi warrior ever.

  • I love this movie, Its like a 1984, Fahrenheit 451, V for Vendetta, Halflife 2, Mash up!!! Thanks for posting

  • Thank you for posting the ending to the movie!!! Time/Warner mis-timed the ending and cut off the last 8 minutes of the film, right as he got to "Father's" chamber...

Called my son and Cox had done the same thing!! You saved my evening!

  • 9:34 LOL are the guards made out of sand? Where does all that dust come from?

  • Best line of the movie: is it really worth the price?

I PAY IT IT GLADLY! :O

  • My favorite is "Not without incident"

  • This syncs in pretty great with the song Unstoppable by E.S. Posthumus

  • Oh...

    Shit.

  • you have to love this movie

  • One of my fav movies. I love 7:05 how me made the gun he just grabbed vanish ;)

  • Loved this movie, without a doubt one of the best action sf movies

  • EPIC

  • leather jackets. superior to real armor.

  • @donotfeedthetroll and Motorcycle helmets

  • @donotfeedthetroll Equilibrium 2, it will be swim suits and the guns will be 3x larger with katanas sticking out of them

  • An uprising with people on the streets carrying AK-47's and MP7's indeed.

  • That's what I felt like doing at work after my supervisor set me up and my boss fired me!

  • @andrewpg78 ummm, did you work for the postal service? lmfao (sorry lol)
