Heya, strange i came across this, its the sort of stuff i play to myself, but i didnt think it would be anywhere out there! You are brilliant my friend, would be great to jam sometime!!...if you happen to watch my vids, disregard the irish stuff, i was quite bored lol. i will post some more vids so watch my space!! Regards, Joe
Hi Cathie, wow congrats!, help me with a thing. im trying to buy the fr3bs and you are the only person that i find in utb with your own fr3 so i have a cuple of questions. first do i need another thing to can play my accordion? forced to buy an amplifier or a midi controller? or just can i playit out of the box like plug and play? and how you recommend it commpared with an real analog accordion like the piginis series? tnku and real congrats you rock!
hi Rodrigo, FR3s has amp+speakers on-board, also many accordion samples and a few orchestral instrument samples too. Like all digital instruments it bears very little resemblance to an acoustic instrument...with digital - EVERYthing is incremental, whereas anything analog is curvacious and sensual :-) Anyway, you can certainly plug+play with the 3S.
Hi, and thanks for watching Jose. Digital gadgets are pretty cool...I like playing around with different soundworlds :-) Best wishes for your own playing!!
Thanks Chris. I've had the FR3 a couple of months now and am starting to really enjoy it as a MIDI controller - the bellows are a very intuitive physical means of sending MIDI data to other digital sound sources.
hi Hideshi, sorry for my ignorance - I don't know Mike Ratridge. Bellows movement is needed for all the treble keyboard sounds; on the bass-box when using 'orchestral' bass sounds it's not necessary to move the bellows, but it is necessary for the accordion sounds on the bass-box.
this video is more Rock ! than other your videos. i feeled Mike Ratridge's play ???is it strange? roland accordion is very good than i immagined. but i have one qestion ..if don't move bellows, it can not sound?
hi Mattis, in the faster part it's the on-board clarinet sample, mixed with a slightly metallic string-like patch on a Yamaha TX and a plucked sound from a Korg X5; just before that it's the on-board harmonica mixed with other sounds from the TX and X5.

hey , your first video with your new midi-accordion;-)
Very interessting space-sound.
It sounds like an oboe in the second part.
Bass with your left hand is interessting too.
