Banners are typically either 256x80 or 418x164 for Stepmania. You have to name the file like that : If the songtitle is "Lost", you should name the banner file Lost-banner.png. For the Background goes the same, with the difference that you should name it "Lost-bg.png" if the title of the song is "Lost". And the size should be 640x480.~~~ I got this information from the official Stepmania page. You forgot to mention it Stepmaniac1988. Some really important facts.^^

look up portable photoshop it's free and it's photoshop that doesn't take much space great on a flashdrive or laptop

Someone said the banner dimensions was 260X80 but I haven't tried it yet.
