Nice video girlfriend! Natural oils are the best treatment for hair.A friend suggested argan oil so i bought an oil i liked the look of from amazon and the difference has been night and day.Not only has my hair grown but it has thickened so much i have stopped using it for the time being. It is also silky, soft and has an amazing shine. The oil i got was from london, england by mama nature called pureargan. It was not cheap but it lasts ages. Its also one of the rarest oils in the world.
OK EVERYONE - she's right about not washing your hair often. If you wash your hair every day you're stripping it of oil - your hair reacts by thinking it's dry, and so it starts OVER-producing more oil than you naturally need. I have very oily hair but it became less oily when I started washing it every two days instead of daily. Try it.
thank u for the video but i have a imp. question & really i need help. my hair used to be really soft & silky. (but now my hair is soft but it isn't silky) .i know it is sounds crazy when i ask for help for my soft hair but i just want it to be silky again. (so i live in egypt ,so it's really hot in our country ,it afficially destroyes all women's hair)&( i tried every oil on my hair even coconut oil )but my hair became dryier&puffy .(so can u plz tell me how can it be silky again)
another tip vegtable oil it works its keeps it shiny right after a shower dont touch your hair keep it wet and get like a little bit it depend on your lenth it keps it so shiny hope theses tip help
People that wash their hair everyday also wash off the natural oils that sink in through the layers of the hair strands to keep it healthy and strong. The heat of the water will also make your hair very dry. Ask any hair dresser and they will tell you it's bad for your hair to wash it everyday. Whenever I have a day off I don't wash my hair and just tie it up and wash it the day after. Eventually my hair got used to it and it doesn't become as oily anymore :)
co-washing ur hair helps ALOT. i did it over like a month and i really saw a huge difrence in my hair. also cleans ur hair really good but it doesnt damage it :) and it makes it really shiny! >w<
Not a problem :) really bugs me when people just assume because you dont wash your hair every day that you're dirty and dont shower... i only wash my hair twice a week too as it doesnt get oily that quickly! yoour haiir looks really nice too :D
Uhm, its disgusting taking a shower twice a week. In just two days my hair is greasy and I smell like shit. Not to mention people tell you that you need to take a shower almost everyday.
@MandiKillsPretty... omg she didnt say she only showers twice a week, she said she washes her hair twice a week... havn't you herd of a thing called a shower cap???, alowing you to shower without getting hair wet, just beacuse you dont wash your hair doesnt mean you dont shower!
That's interesting, though.. I have a question. I have to walk home every single day from school and I live in Hawaii, so of course, since I'm not super amazing, I sweat and because I sweat, I feel the need to take a shower, which means washing my hair too. Or should I try washing my hair a little less even though I get sweaty?
if someone dosnt want to wash their hair just twice a week.. on the days that they don't wash their hair...example when they get home ...can they put olive oil, baby oil in their hair...?? coz this friend i knew her mum used to put baby oil it when she was younger.. now her hair (she did it when she was 3 to 13...now she's 20) her hair is thick, shiny and wow.....dose that help do u think? and ww really about the silk bedcovers? thats so cool! xx
I'm new to your channel and blog. I really like the advice you give. Could you do a video showing how you use the Joico vapor reconstrux flat iron. I've been thinking about getting it.
I Am Mixed and You do Exactly What I do I Wash myy Hairr about 2 a Week in a Half and By the end Of The week Or later in The Week my hair Is More Shineyy and Smooth (:
okaaaayyyy I have a secret for extra oily hair!!! i have oily hair... so a tip for u guys iisss... u let it get oily and use a hair brush an corn youre haaiiirr in the ruubs dont know the word for that... im from venezuela... so then try to put allmost all that oil in the ends... and then put the head upside down and with the blow drier ladidaaah and put a liiiiittle tiny bit of powder in the top of youre head where its oilyest... then corn it up a little bit moore and youll be done!
@sj1605 eh, I don't think so... It's always been this way, and my mom's hair is the same. I've tried using less products on it and less often several times but it doesn't seem to work.
I want to try aubrey shampoo I am going to whole foods later and I love the idea that flax seed and other natural oils keep your hair and I believe shin looking shiny radiant nd super healthy.good tips!
Hi, If you don't towel dry your hair, how do you avoid getting your clothes wet? Do you keep a towel around your neck? Can you advise please. Also, do you go to work with your hair wet?
Aveda Brilliant Glosser (its natural) works great on my hair. I'm AfrAmerican, but stylist @ the salon is Hispanic. Wasn't sure it would work or even last on my hair, but i got soooo many compliments @ work the next day. She uses it on her naturally curly hair too. Good luck all.
@abbygrace00 but if you wash your hair everyday, it just dries out the scalp which causes oil production to go into overdrive resulting in oilier hair. believe me, i use to wash my hair everyday and it just kept getting greasier!
I found that when my hair was long (to the bottom of my rib cage), if I really felt like it needed washing more often than I really wanted to shampoo it, then I'd just wash it with conditioner.
@LenaCocoa mayb try training ur hair. if u start going more days without washing it ur hair will get use to it. i did tht and i can go a while without washong my hair and i hav thin hair :)
@savionval : They are both fine b/c they are tightly woven. Cotton is porous and dries out the hair, its the main fabric to avoid, oh and of course flannel. My bf bought me a flannel sheet set and i didn't know how to break it to him that i c/n use it. I'm a wild sleeper, sometimes w/ pillow & sometimes not, so it would pull out my hair.
Thanks for the tips. Question: Unless I wash my hair every day it gets too oily (actually looks really dirty, like it would be embarrassing to go out like that). My forehead is super oily as well. Is there anything I can do to cut down the oil production in my skin/scalp? Thanks!
the thinng that she said dose not matter the thing is how too get shinny hair is eat good and before you get in the shower get your hair wet with cold water
i dont wash my hair all week till friday night then i wash it again on sunday night ....WHAT?!?!?! YOU DIRTY BITCH!!!!!!!! its cause ive got REALY curly hair and i dont want to damage ot too mutch by straighting it every 2nd or 3d day (and i can be arsed) lol
The part about the oils might be true to an extent but I have VERY oily hair...so if I don't wash it every second day, it looks absolutely disgusting. It doesn't give it a shiny, silky look, it makes go all slimey and gross. haha
parachute coconut oil is my loverrr. also, many sulfate free shampoos out there are still just as bad, they just dont have that sulfate tagged on to it. its better to use veg oil derived soaps, than detergants. i personally love giovanni. i like how the cleansers are put towards the end of the list, no cones (which build up in my straight hair), but still cleans nicely and soothes my sensitive scalp
hot oil treatments are without a doubt, incredible.
my hair went from dull to shiny
also a good tip is once youre done in the shower rinse your hair in the coldest water you can stand because this will make the cuticles on your hair shaft lay flat and smooth making your hair able to reflect light better(shine)
I have used a couple of sulfate free shampoos (Burt's Bees & Avalon Organics), but they always leave my hair feeling hard and squeaky. Maybe I'll try Aubrey. I use olive oil and coconut oil to add shine to my hair. Thanks for the tips!

@msren211 satin is fine. You want a smooth texture. Silk and satin pillows help prevent wrinkles too.

I don't sleep on silk, but I do sleep on satin. Is satin just as efficient? Or is silk a better choice.
