Anybody can use a mouse and keyboard and be a dominant player. I just prefer a controller because that is what I like and I never use aim assist on consoles. In every shooter game, my main strength is not in the aiming. It's my uncanny and instantaneous awareness of my surroundings that allows me to identify an enemy and shoot them before they shoot me.

I use both gamepad and kbm for all my fps. And still will rape on bf3. To me they both are good, gamepad is usuable only when I am laying down to play. Kbm is like me shoting but none is superior than the other. If you know how to set your gamepad to pc gamers level there's no problems.

I put it this way. With a mouse you can set the sensitivity very low and still go from whole arm movements to swing your character to a 360 shot instantly, to just using your wrist to pick off that headshot once you swing around to the target. I find it much easier to aim on the PC even without aim assist personally.

I know what's your problem with Arkam City. Arkam City is most likely a console port meaning the devs got lazy optimising the game for PCs. Basically, they too fucking lazy to make the game work right for the PC because it's the platform which makes the least money. Your best bet is to wait for the latest patch for the game, but yeah. There's not much you can do. Maybe update your graphics card and don't use DX11.
Here's a scenario: put a KB+mouse in a console players hands. They won't know what the fuck they're doing. Put a controller in a pc gamers hand and they'll have a general idea what to do. And also saying a mouse is smooth? Not true at all. You need a 40$ or up(generally) mouse for the mouse to be smooth. Or you will get a grid effect where your mouse skips over the screen. Kthx

As for batman its has to do with the "engine" the game is build on. Frosbit is the engine running BF3 and it is "optimized" to take advantage of you pc hard ware unlike games like GTA iv and Batman are more ports to pc. thats why i play COD and batman on 360 and BF3 is PC

Your right mouse & keyboard are easy & precise. But it doesn't give you the feeling of a gun & trigger like a controller does. Actually Killzone 2 requires the most skill. There's no aim assist, there's bullet spread, there's recoil, & Each bullet is tracked with it's own pyhsics. I'm still gonna side with PC, you put the best CoD4 ProMod players against the MLG CoD Console players and I seriously doubt the console players would win. I actually thought pc skills transferred over better then console skills. I did better on a console then on pc. PC gamers usually talk shit because in many cases they get the shaft on DLC game modes and other stuff. Most of the time the console version is easier because its a better version. I do better on COD on the 369 then the ps3 because the PS3 version is a POS. I'm not a fanboy the PS3 didn't even have the hit marker sound until they updated it

I can't aim for shit with a controller, my console friends can't aim for shit with a mouse and keyboard, it goes back and forth. I think i can speak on the subject considering i started on pc with rainbow 6. First, mouse and keyboard dominates compared to console. You've already stated why, the aiming is precise and with a laser mouse, you can flick that son of a bitch to pull a 180 in half a second and shoot someone behind you. Second, i remember the good ol original xbox and altering it for use witha keyboard/mouse setup. Halo 1 and 2. Sniping was too easy. third, in spite of mouse and keyboard being "better".....
It don't matter how precise a mouse, if I don't need the game to AIM FOR ME (Aim Assist), I'm a better gamer. I can easily go from Keyboard/Mouse to playing Call of Duty MW3 because of aim assist. And how is it easy if 99% all of your enemies have mouse and keyboard?
As far as Batman Arkham City.This game ported from consoles,and is the worst port made by a company that I ever saw! I can max out Battlefield 3 and this game besides the framerate problem has alot of bugs,glitches . They really should've waited and realease the game next year!

I play on both PC and Consoles, and I agree with you, you can do more crazy shit easier on PC rather than with a controller, took me time to get precise with a controller and get accurate like with a mouse, Aim assist isn't that detrimental in most games anyway, and controller feels a bit more realistic when you can't turn around that quickly like a god and be straight on target to kill them before you drop, I'm always on the fence on which I like better, and yeah steam sales rock right now

That's the main issue with PC gaming nobody discusses. Optimization is not uniform on PC games because it can't be due to everyone's rig being different. Then you have the issues of different games performing better than others even though they seem like they should or shouldn't. Consoles dont have that problem unless its a Bethesda game lol. And yea the skill argument as well as hardcore vs casual are dumb debates. Those are all subjective ideals that can't be defined despite what nerds say

take in consideration that the easier the controller is to master, the beter people will become at it. counter strike 1.6 is one of the simplest shooters in history. Its easy to learn how to play it. To master it and become better than the rest, is a different thing.

arkham city just needs a few patching. it's not all that optimized for pc and nvidia physx demands alot out of the nvidia graphics card. ATI cards don't use physx. only nvidia card feature

All you need to be good at console is GENERAL coordination with a control because aim assist does EVERYTHING and then add the 99% of console players are bad.. You don't even need EXCEPTIONAL coordination, just GENERAL because there's so many noobs. On PC the majority at least know what they're doing. The "decent" players on PC are the bad ones. The exceptional ones are DECENT. Beyond that..uendupwithapubstar.

Your right mouse & keyboard are easy & precise. But it doesn't give you the feeling of a gun & trigger like a controller does. Actually Killzone 2 requires the most skill. There's no aim assist, there's bullet spread, there's recoil, & Each bullet is tracked with it's own pyhsics. Gravity, wind, distance, etc...They even calculated the rotation of the planet into the bullet. < Just Sayin.......Have you ever tried the Joystick? Instead of mouse or controller?

I'm still gonna side with PC, you put the best CoD4 ProMod players against the MLG CoD Console players and I seriously doubt the console players would win. I see your point about the analogs not being as precise, it still requires more skill to use the mouse and do as well as people do on console because of the aim assist. I actually thought pc skills transferred over better then console skills. I did better on a console then on pc. PC gamers usually talk shit because in many cases they get the shaft on DLC game modes and other stuff. Most of the time the console version is easier because its a better version. I do better on COD on the 369 then the ps3 because the PS3 version is a POS. I'm not a fanboy the PS3 didn't even have the hit marker sound until they updated it

I can't aim for shit with a controller, my console friends can't aim for shit with a mouse and keyboard, it goes back and forth. It's what you like and feel more comfortable on, there are gonna be noobs and pros on every platform.

I think i can speak on the subject considering i started on pc with rainbow 6. First, mouse and keyboard dominates compared to console. You've already stated why, the aiming is precise and with a laser mouse, you can flick that son of a bitch to pull a 180 in half a second and shoot someone behind you. Second, i remember the good ol original xbox and altering it for use witha keyboard/mouse setup. Halo 1 and 2. Sniping was too easy. third, in spite of mouse and keyboard being "better".....

you are right mouse&keyboard are easier to learn ,but on PC you almost never run into someone that doesn't know how to shoot you or with terrible aim.Everybody is decent on PC,so it makes it harder to get very good games. After only 6 months on Xbox(CoD) I get scores that I get on PC now after 3 years of CoD and my aim is terrible on Xbox.That says much about Xbox players!

I play on both PC and Consoles, and I agree with you, you can do more crazy shit easier on PC rather than with a controller, took me time to get precise with a controller and get accurate like with a mouse, Aim assist isn't that detrimental in most games anyway, and controller feels a bit more realistic when you can't turn around that quickly like a god and be straight on target to kill them before you drop, I'm always on the fence on which I like better, and yeah steam sales rock right now

That's the main issue with PC gaming nobody discusses. Optimization is not uniform on PC games because it can't be due to everyone's rig being different. Then you have the issues of different games performing better than others even though they seem like they should or shouldn't. Consoles dont have that problem unless its a Bethesda game lol. arkham city just needs a few patching. it's not all that optimized for pc and nvidia physx demands alot out of the nvidia graphics card. ATI cards don't use physx. only nvidia card feature
