  • What kind of table did they play on? what kind of 5 x 10?

  • what table is he talking about

  • welcome back earl WHATEVER you want to call earl he is one of the most knowledgeable about pool playing mechanics and truly knows felt like the back of his hand. and true old pro, old school a little rough around the edges. but just right. so hes opinionated WOULDN'T YOU BE IN A CAREER SPANNING 30 YEARS PLUS? nope cuz most of us wouldent make it in any one same career that long.. think before you judge him, think of why he gets stressed not what he says or does while he is.

  • can you guys please upload this match since it's already been played?... it would be awesome to see the standard of play on a 5x10 because I personally believe that Professional Pool needs to return to shooting on 5x10 tables, instead of the 4.5x9's in order to show who are the real Professionals and who are the wannabe Pros :)

I met Earl back in 2005 in Bournemouth, England and he's a good guy and has got alot of knowledge and experience to share to help make the sport better :)

  • Its lovely to see Earl on form and in a good mood

  • Earl looked like a genius in this match.

  • Vintage Pearl at work here. I don't think the 9 foot Diamonds are too easy. If they were you wouldn't get the same players in the top ten rankings like clock work. Effren Reyes has a weak break compared Charlie Bryant or Rodney Morris but still wins the percentage of games against those guys. That said, I wold like to see the pro players use 5x10 ft tables. Another thing I never hear which negates the breaks is your opponent always has to push out after you break, even if you make a ball. Epic!

  • Is he talking abot a diamond table?

  • Agreed and then some. make conditions tougher , noone would watch golf if they played on a damn put put course. or the hole there trying to hit the ball in is the size of the grand canyon. If nothing else its something that pool halls oughta start doing for players who want to put in a real good practice session and tighten up there game.

  • when and where can i see this online?

  • Best comments by Earl in a long time. Seems like the older he gets the less insane hes becoming. He is a genius and without a doubt, misunderstood. He is up there with the magician......

  • The King's Speech~

  • I hope Earl brings a new revolution to professional pool and brings the 5 by 10 with the small pockets to the Us open. I'm tired of watch pros string racks 4,5,6 at a time. It's just gettin too easy . I've put together seven myself and do 3 at a time on a daily basis and I hate having to watch someone do the same to me. I think the 5 x 10 is what the game needs bring out those flaws that earl is talking about! I think Earl is going to win

  • Earl sounds sane here finally and for good reason. Hes getting what he wants his way. I think professional pool should be played on these tables too. The 9 fotters are like going to a bar and gettin your ass whipped by an average bar player and having to listen to him brag about how he beat you. The players today are far too advance to be messin around on 9 ft. tables anymore. I want to start seeing some people miss shit on tv and have trouble for once running out 5 or 6 balls.

  • everything he is saying is right, I've been saying it for years!

  • @lilgiggles420 I could not agree more. but he does in such a way he almost comes across as crazy. Too many people mistake his "crazyness" for his raw passion for the game he knows and loves. The game that hes bled since a kid. He's tired of watching it change, and speaks out at will. I love it.

  • @Maincontrol999 i wasnt playing him dumbass...

  • @Maincontrol999 On The Action Report website. Pay per view.

  • STRICKLAND is a living legend......hopefully he´ll win this.

  • Wow...Earl really sounds reasonable here. Bring that exact mindset to the match!

  • I live in youngstown and was out Monday and Wednesday for league at the pool hall where there setting up for this match....Earl is lucky someone didnt beat his ass in the parking lot because of how big of a dooshbag he is...i could barely play my match listening to his dumb ass whine like a lil girl....cant wait till hes headed home a loser this weekend

  • great interview and he is right about the table. thats it. pros should play on a 10-footer

  • lol , great interview , amazing how much he says the word table , i lost counting lol

  • Who is this Shane van bone that earl is talking about?

  • Earl talks sense here.. He has always been frustrated by easy tables, over large pockets and the easy break.. cos he knows his ability and he is a true legend

  • Earl is crazy beyond any doubt. But the way he is advocating for pool to be looked at as a true sport...hats off ! He's been running his mouth about this for years.

This is going to be an epic match...can't wait for the weekend ! Thank you TAR !

  • Always love Earl's interviews no matter what. Good to see his views and him complimenting his opponent

  • 10 RACKS in and Earl will start crying.

  • @mattfarus1only took one at the SBE, lol.

  • wow...earl strickland just admitted that someone shoots straighter and breaks better than him!!!! WRITE IT ON THE CALENDER!!!! REMEMBER IT!

  • @mastercueartist Doesn't mean much - watching Efren break a couple of weeks ago, he tells me "Did you see that, he breaks like a sissy! Just like me!" LOL! Believe me, Earl knows what he's capable of. When I told him to shut up, and that he's got a super-break, or at least used to (pulling his leg), he quips "Yeah, guess I'm getting old now." Come on now, the guy runs miles every day, and does hundreds of push-ups, he's in terrific shape! Watch him play, you'll see!

  • Earl...what can you say about him? But, wow!
