Wow, you bring a valid point. However, language is a huge definer of culture and without it, I don't think what we know as te Deaf Culture today would be what it is. Also, the term 'ASL Person" incorporates a much larger group of people. If we share a common language can we be apart of the community (whether hearing (like myself) or D/deaf and if you're actively involved in the community)? I don't know, but I can understand both points though.
