Smart&Safe headphone conduct the sound from cell phone conversations and music through a hollow tube filled with air, without metal wires. This is scientifically proven to reduce the electromagnetic radiation reaching the user’s sensitive ear and brain area by up to 98%
I see a lawsuit in this company's future. It is extremely unclear to me how a piece of software can measure radiation. It is a shame how this company is misleading and scaring the public into believing this actually can detect levels of radiation. There are two main types of devices that can detect radiation/radiation exposure. sodium iodide scintillation counters & Geiger-Müller counters. This is false advertising/trickery at best. No wonder why they were booted from the iphone app store!
They talk here about other kind of radiation. Try to read more about that. For measuring this radiation you dont need Geiger counter. You need other devices.
These guys have no such devices involved in their work, but they can do very good evaluation of signla value by using internal parameters of phone at any given moment of time.
For sure - when you use your hands free set you still get big amout of radiation. This is not a good part in this app. But still - very nice!
What's the point? Not a single study in the past 30 years has shown any measurable negative effect from cell phone transmissions. And on a more practical level, there just arent people sprouting brain tumors left and right because they use cell phones. Marketing is using the word "radiation" as a scare tactic instead of something like "radio waves" or "transmission". Light is also radiation, yet it is scary to say "I am bathed in radiation" and not "I am bathed in light".

Whaaat? How can it possibly measure radiation? Phones don't have Geiger counters or any way to measure ionizing radiation.
It looks like the app just increases the radiation warning (whatever minute levels they may be) when cellphone signals reduce. Doesn't mean anything.
But hell, there are many pointless apps on the Apple App Store. No reason to exclude this one.
