some people just go out of line with hate comments. either cuz they have no life or theyre nerds. hate comments are acceptable if the video is completely retarded and suck ass. this is just my opinion so feel free to disagree

Well I used the high school example of popular kids and I have witnessed this type of behavior elsewhere, so I agree it does exist elsewhere besides youtube.

people figure "well this user is more popular so he "MUST" know what he/she is talking about

the hardest thing ive found is breaking out and getting known around the place without selling yourself short..

eg: ive been thinking for sime time now of doing a lower production weekly show insted of the highter production monthly show

Great rant dude, I agree, but I learned that being popular you have to have a certain responsibility. I am friends with many of the people that I been friends when I first started out, because they are great friends!

Yeah you seem very talkative on youtube, and it seems you talk to a lot of ppl on skype as well, so you probably are someone who handles the fame and his family very well, and probably a good example to look up to, I am friends with some popular youtubers as well, but I try to keep in mind that due to there popularity they can't always chat with me, so I am accepting of that and do not demand they talk to me all the time like Irategamer he is very busy at times.

My best friend in real life, lives about 4 states away from me, we occasionally text chat once a month usually, to let me know how he has been, and thats good enough for me, as long as long as he does not blow me off completely without a good reason or warning. But he has his own life so I do not bug him often, but just check up on him, we just talk to each other when we can, and talk just enough to keep tabs on each other, so that is good enough for me.

Also realize that not all popular users are assholes. I'm friends with those people. If they were asses, I wouldn't befriend them.

Many friends of mine in my close knit circle of popular friends have actually been accused of the "lunchroom" mentality. But it's that we get nothing but fanboys that we don't want to talk to because we don't feel like getting our asses kissed. We're friends with people who actually have less than 100 subs when we have at least 500.

Well I didn't say all popular youtuber's are assholes just to clear up any confusion, I thought I made that point clear, but it does apply to a fair handful, maybe 20-30% at best, just ballparking it, I could be off.

I have hung around your friends, so yeah I agree with you, I have chatted with some of your friends that have anywhere from 100-10000 subs and they all seem like swell people.

Unfortunately a huge stereotype here on youtube seems to be that quite a bit of people seem to think that all popular youtuber's act that the same way which is not true at all being assholes, but that is not true at all, some people handle there popularity pretty well, and there friends are understanding of when they can't make a lot of time to chat with them.

I agree,sometimes people can end up doing some crazy things if they end up letting they're populariety cloud they're mind,especially when they see another popular user and get jeleouse to the point where they turn into the green eye monster,I don't want to mention names....but populariety can also lead to the point to update your channel to call yourself a "master of something" allowing you to develop an ego.

I try my best not to let Populariety get to me.

yeah,I can see,I admit,I almost sort of almost (slightyly ) developed a small ego from my old account when I did parodies on certain youtubers.

the thing is,I was'nt thinking clearly and almost hurted another friend ~_~ and was'nt proud of it,because populariety can also make certain people make youtube videos out of hatred.

it;s been happening on youtube alot lately,the more popular people get,the more they have an ego to hate a cetain user or troll to make Parodies on them.

it def is a lot more common, but doesn't happen to all popular youtuber,s but def is rising I give you that.

Also I give you a lot of props for admitting your wrongs and having an ego, and fixing your mistake before it grew into something much worse, ya see the fact you caught yourself proves your not perfect, and that you make mistakes just like all average human beings, but there are some popular youtuber's who can;t even admit small things like what you did, and will flat out deny it.

"Popular guy" thinks that his popularity makes him a god, because 90% of people say so, but the 10% that don't think so, he tears into. In the comment section in one of "popular guy's" most recent video, he told someone who didn't think a video "popular guy" talked about wasn't funny he said something like "I found it funny because I wasn't born with a stick up my ass".

on youtube, im lucky to have 319 subs and 1000 plus friends, ususaly anthro artists get less then 50 subs because of people standards of the artwprk and how they percieve it as "not human". The only reason i have so much is because im nice to people and im open to all groups, so i guess it consists of gamers, artists, rnaters, media channels, ect. In reality, im gratefull to have what i have

now as for FA (Furaffinty) i have over close to 400 wacthers, each day i get three wacthes when i post art, and im not as nearly close to an artist that has 1350 wacthes, btu alot of people love my stuff and each day i feel like im slowly goign up. now im not high and mighty abotu this, btu i think if your in an area that you feel comfortable and do your best, you get to reap the rewards and such

As for the popularity portion, my channel from day one was never looking for fame. It is an educational sort of channel. I have many good friends who are not YT famous and I have a few friends who are popular on YT. I could never see myself giving up one group for the other and selling myself out. After all, the first people are the ones who got me where I am now.

However, you also have popular people who "hate" up and coming popular channels. Popularity is a double-edged sword. Nice house :)

I don't usually comment in these types of videos, but I agree with generally everything you said and it's a deplorable trend that is not exclusive to YouTube, but the general masses.

I don't pretend to be something I'm not and I make it clear that I don't have time to talk to all of my friends and subs, but the fans I have acknowledge this. If someone talks to me, I am usually more than happy to talk back, but I can't search for everyone on a regular basis.

I think it's a mix of problems caused by subs, taking the net too seriously and not learning to go online in a bad mood. One should never act on anger on the internet, it's not so easy to take it all back and apologize online as it is in real life. :/

What annoys me is that a few bad apples ruin the whole bunch here. I'm friends with a few quote-unquote "popular" users, and they're some of the most supportive and nice people you could know. It just sucks because when they get into a debate or argument with someone else, people flip their shit and call them "arrogant popular people" when most of them don't care about sub number and just can't stand people like clingy fanboys.

Yeah I agree, a few bad apples can sure make a bunch of good apples look bad when they really are good people, and is a terrible stereotype, not all popular youtube user's are arrogant and assholes, but the number does seem to be rising lately, which is a reason I made this video, for people to keep this in mind to avoid this these types of things that end up biting them in the butt later, I think some people do not even realize it as well.
