Mtv played this fairly frequently, at least for a short while. Lots of good scenery in this one. Typical Mtv fare of the era. ...from the year I graduated from college. Timothy B was prob. a few years too old to be doing a song and video like this. And guess I was really a bit too old to enjoy as much as I did! I'd come home from classes and turn on Mtv.... Watching this I'd feel more like I was back in high school. Even then I guess it had a nostalgic edge.

Schmit is their BASS PLAYER and joined the band in 1978; his hiring had nothing to do with lead guitarist Felder's firing over 20 years later!

Timothy is my favorate eagle.(still is) Never saw this, didn't miss much. Painful to watch. Truth be told, he probably hated this video as much as we do.

Oh..and BTW..Felder did not solely write Hotel California by himself...Frey and Henley had some input as well...Thats why their names are also on the credits. Get your facts straight b4 accusing. Saucyjac...I couldnt have said it better. Rock on Eagles!!!

As far as this video...give him a break. It might seem a little dorky now, but that was a long time ago and it was a cool song back then...and look what he has accomplished since!!!Some people don't know what they are talking about...and if thats the case, should keep their mouth shut! Eagles rock...always have...always will. They just keep getting better. I don't see any of you guys having this magnitude of success.

You guys have no idea Frey started the Eagles with Henley...so it was their band initially...not Felder's. Joe Walsh can blow Felder away any day! Eagles were brilliant for hiring Walsh and Schmit. Felder was just being too nosy about finances and should have kept his mouth shut. I know this first hand as my BFF's husband is one of Frey's managers. You dont see Schmit and Walsh getting let go do you?

How does a guitar player like Don Felder who wrote Hotel California gets fired and this guy gets to keep his job.Something is wrong with this picture ! Timothy Scmidt was a good addition to the Eagles but Don Felder was GREAT! It was all about the money. GREED by Henley and Frey.

I love timothy, but this stuff is aweful. It doesn't even look like him or seem like him. The song is extra cheezy and the video....ugh. Didn't know he did this stuff, what a disappointment. Well, at least that's over with. He got better later on. His 2001 CD 'Feed The Fire' is the best I've heard him (other than Eagles stuff).

Yeah, the video director watched "Hot For Teacher" far too many times, but it doesn't diminish the incredible musicianship in this song. Great guitar licks as far as the ear can
