@serenityraven0409 It's only saving grace is the tuition cost and fashion design alumni, but if you apply, then apply early because in my case they were accepting applications for a program that was already full and that's a fact. I still have all the emails/correspondence with the dates/times that show they didn't make a decision on my application until after the semester started.
I finally got my letter from FIT. It's postmarked August 30th, 2011, after the beginning of the semester and "amazingly" 1 day after I called and emailed asking why I never received a decision letter before the start of the semester. A letter that I was told 3 separate times I would receive before the start of the semester. FIT can say what they want, but every piece of proof I have points to the idea that they never reviewed my application until I called and emailed after the semester started.
That's pretty foul, what they did to you. Have you researched if others have had this experience? Check out some forums and online details.
Perhaps there is a class suit going against FIT for this already, because this seems like normal operating procedure from them, the way you tell the story.
@awesomeeveryday Yes, I actually saw a couple of people with very suspicious admissions situations. I got another email from FIT and they are really maintaing this space availability position, which is interesting because now they are really just going down the path that they are accepting $50 application fees for programs that have no space. It's one more thing to say, "we have no more space" and I was the last one to apply, but to accept applications for another 3-4 weeks!
After hearing so many bad reviews about this college, I wouldn't want to go here.
