If you look at the design of warhead, it was basically Warhead with the main weapon rotated 90 degrees located lower to the ground and better armored. It's unsurprising that his excellent desgin won. Not to say that nightmare isn't an excellent design as well, but it's a little too vulnerable.

@lpool1996moh9 I agree that I prefer Razor, it has always been my favourite, totally unique design (lots of copies now though) and an amazing weapon, one of the only robots that crushes another on top of itself. But you can not really compare the 2. Like I said They are in different weight categories so to compare them is unfair.

I think the biggest difference between Battlebots and Robot Wars was that Battlebots was more a test of skill and craftsmanship. It was a real competition. Robot Wars was more along the lines of "Okay now let's just watch stuff get broken and lit on fire."

Additionally Nightmare would be counted out because it can't move from it's SPOT. In short, if Nightmare were to increase its speed or protects its wheels, it wouldn't be so easily defeated. (have no idea where you got the notion of getting a quick getaway from).

Oh crap, I HATE "Robot Wars". Always the same bots over & over, almost like there was a script. Battle Bots had it's moments but I think that was mostly to apease sponsors. Battle Bots was hardcore business doing serious damage to each other proving real engineering and driving skills. The stupid "house bots" where just a distraction, I only want to see two worthy opponents one-on-one. Robot Wars was a "show", battle bots was a "compitition". I could do without the "hazzards" both however.

Robot Wars was nothing compared to Battlebots. The robots were not as creative, the stadium was too small, and the house robots were a bad idea to begin with. These are supposed to be one team versus the other, not the house pushing them both around. The obstructions in Robot wars were too close together, and there was no real fighting going on really for lots of the fights, it was robots getting pushed around by the obstacles and the house bots. Battlebots destroys robot wars any day.
