could be a grounding issue, if the rca connections are corroded it can affect the timecode, and last, it could be a bad usb cable. I had similar issues, even one side dropped out while the other side played, as soon as I swapped the cable it came on 100%. Good luck....
I suggest posting this to the Serato forums and they'll get back to you within a day at most usually and it sounds like your rubbing your finger on the platter almost or maybe dirty needle contacts? Or maybe a grounding issue.
