I'm probably just being an idiot, but I am a Victorinox enthusiast, and I have to point out that they have a model with just one large blade, not even tweezers and a toothpick. I believe it is called the Sentry. If you want, you can check my video about the biggest useable Swiss Army Knife (3rd biggest overall, other 2 are aproxx. 15 and 30cm long)

most of the times, we don't notice whose are the bests designs... look around any manufacture needs to be designed before, so the more efficient the design becomes, less modifications needs through the time... it's like species evolution... the best designs survive... but sometimes the evolution is so different that the object becomes a different product, such as pencil-propelling pencil

Your videos are really interesting to watch and your topics are usually pretty different which is a big 'selling point' if you can call it that. The only suggestion i'd make is to script things a little. Even if you improv from the script and script in point form but it may help you with your articulation and sentence flow. Edward Johnston also designed the typeface that was used on the map and everything else. Apart from a few revisions (as with the map) it is still in use today. A great piece of design.

It was only when you were showing us your room (the next but one vid), that I realised what my favourite design is - the Anglepoise lamp. I've got one beside me too, which I picked up from a charity shop for a few quid. I prefer the earlier LT maps as there were fewer diagonals (but fewer lines too) but as I think it says in the book about it, Wimbledon & South Wimbledon seem to be miles apart.

I actually prefer the design of the London Underground roundel more then the map. I think it might be because I associate the map with the system being grimmed up making me use the map for an alternate route.

I was in London a few years ago with a group, and the start of the second day in London I was sick (delayed jet-lag) and slept in another hour. I was then scheduled to meet my group at the Millenium Eye, but I had about an hour & a half to spare, so I got on the Underground, went to Covent Garden to shop and use the internet cafe, and then went to meet them. I was totally comfortable using it. Loved it. And love those maps. :) They're attractive.

And modern bananas have much thicker hides, again at the expense of flavor. There are very few things that we interact with with any consistency that we don't eventually tamper with.

Yeah, basicest is one of my favoritest words. Actually pretty much all modern fruit (all horticultural plants for that matter) HAVE undergone a good deal of HUMAN design. None are what they were and virtually all have been modified for purposes intended to increase marketability. The rather bland Red Delicious apple is a great example.
