I used to have a cat that could play fetch too! He always slept on my head and climbed trees with me. Whats more he can play tag!!!! I was trying to catch him and when I did he wad trying to catch me! And he could play hide and seek!!! Whenever he sees me close my eyes he hides and I have to find him!!!! But he never wants to find me though. He is VERY intellegent plus, he was my first ever cat. No joke.

The Chartreux is one of the rarest domestic breeds in the world, with very few breeders(Less than 10) in the U.S.. Yet somehow quite a few people in this comment section have stumbled upon or had a stray Chartreux stumble upon them. I call bullshit. Sorry. In all likelihood your cat is our standard domestic shorthair. No shame in that.

My cat was found in the woods as a baby so we didn't know what breed he was when we got him. I've been looking up gray cats and the Russian Blue always seemed a little off in the way the head is shaped. I stumbled upon the Chartreux and it is the spitting image of my cat! He tries to open doors and everything! I'm happy to know that I am correct in my original assumptions that I have an exceptionally smart and loving cat :)

My cat is a Chartreux and he is very loyal. He'll run to the door when someone comes home and when they leave he will sometimes sit by it and wait. He is very smart...he's a great hunter and he can be sneaky and calculating. You'd be surprised just how sneaky sometimes... Mine is still a baby so he's very hyper and spazzy but he does like to cuddle and will sit in my lap when I play video games. IDK what cat is best for you but this breed is very nice in my experience.

I have a Chartreux. Where I live, they are very rare. My cat appeared one day at our door when she was still a kitten. We looked for her owners everywhere, but we never found them. Anyways, she's been with us for about 8 years. It's an adorable breed, they are very kind and extremly quiet. Funnily enough, at the same we also had a Siamese cat for many years-- and they are know as the most vocal breed!

It seems that everyone here has already a Chartreux.You are probably mistaking, this cat is really(and I mean that), really rare.I tried to buy a Chartreaux 2 years ago and my vet helped me a lot by rejecting different type of cats, similar to a Chartreaux but not a Chartreaux.After three attempts I gave up, bought a blue Russia and case was closed.Still a soul and a lovely feline, but not a Chartreaux. :))) But it seems you are all very fortunate.Congrats! :)))
