They work and in some ways are better for each other than him and kelly. Jessie and Slater work, but it's cuz they compliment one another. Not b/c they have so much in common. And as I'm rewatchin the show now for the first time in years, I'm realizing I'd rather be with a Jessie kinda girl myself, even if she is kinda neurotic. She was the most attractive (still is, though lark gives her a run for her money), easily the smartest, is a super liberal feminist and is cool.
