In a recent video blog with Scott Coker, he said that the Overeem vs Fedor fight could potentially take place if Overeem defeats

Rogers, so that doesn't make any sense that Vadim said Fedor won't fight Overeem after he beats Rogers. I can't think of any reason why they wouldn't put that fight together, the fight that's been hyped for so long now.

Phrek , Overeem is a much better fight than 4 years ago when Werdum beat him. Werdum just lost, but AO hasn't lost for 7 fights now. Not only that but AO IS the SF champion.

You think Fedor worry so much about that belt, why would he? His a pacient guy, everything will unite sooner or later, eventually. Who knows, maybe they are building up for the hype all ready, Fedor VS Overeem? Maybe thats why Rogers VS Overeem fight doesnt put the belt in the line of fire? Who knows...

@Phrek , Werdum is better ONLY in YOUR opinion. The WAMMA ranking which Fedor holds the belt to says that you are wrong. I say that you are wrong. Scott Coker says that you are wrong. Furthermore, M1 said they have no plans to fight Overeem even in the future. Fedor is avoiding.

@TheVideoCommentary Fedor isn't running away from anything. If you knew about what happened between Fedor and Josh Barnett with the steroids thing, you would understand better. Fedor had to wait for Barnett's results, trusting that he'd pass and then he didn't, then Affliction 3 cancelled, then he had to wait a lot longer to fight anyone, after signing with Strikeforce. The bulk of the problems between fights happening has more to do with Fedor's managment than with him.

@initial , Overeem has never tested positive. Fedor is avoiding based strictly on suspicion. To make matters worse, even IF Overeem beats Rogers (which he MUST take a drug test to fight), Vadim says that Fedor STILL WON'T fight Overeem. Therefore we know that passing a test or not, Fedor WON'T fight.
