Aw naw, this movie! Watching this movie was like having distilled liquid nightmare poured in my eyes while a thousand screaming souls weapt in my ears the bitter tears of unleashed horror!
saw this when I was a kid,, double header movie with Hawk the Slayer. This was shown first, think i may have been too young to have seen both films on reflection.
Been trying to think of the name for ages of this movie.
OMG. This came on HBO or Cinimax back in the 80's. I have been searching for this movie for years but didn't know the name of the movie. Thank God for Youtube!!!!
They need to remake this movie. I was scared shitless by Hector the robot as a kid. Imagine the hottie they could recruit for Hector's love interest. If they kept the plot the same and the concept dark (and didn't try to appeal to everyone) it could be awesome remake. I think the movie was way ahead of it's time - with all the garbage produced today, they should at least give it a shot.
@Centaurmaiden It wasn't really that good, imo, but it was ahead of the curve stylistically. Harvey Keitel acted more like an android most of the time in this flick than the robot. Farrah Fawcett acted like a ten year old,Kirk Douglas acted like the fake Uncle with benefits. I've always felt that there was something more to this movie than it was, like it wasn't really a finished piece.
When I first watched this video Farrah was still alive.. Now there is no more Farrah and I am saddened. Hector, if he is still around, is probably upset too. Everyone misses beautiful Farrah :(
Yeah' i noticed the title and sadly Farrah popped up in my pooor Pop Cultured soul. God that really sickens me on her dismise. She was so talented. I remember growing up watching her on Charlie's Angels. Maybe that's what made Kate Jackson get on drugs? But you never know how true that is either. Media dogs they are.
You've got to love the Wonka factory sound effects at the start of the clip. You almost expect old Willy to come over and through a shoe into the brew to "give it a little kick".
can u get the movie for me please, alot of people cant fin d it and i would like to know if u can download it please, i saw it like 5 or 6 years ago and cant find it!!!
I suggest you all get the region 2 silver collection DVD of Saturn 3 on amazon (dot) co (dot) uk. Beautiful transfer, and it's 6 pounds, you can all afford it.
he hasn't really remixed it, he claimed he didn't want to listen to the NIN album so he apparently contributed an original track, hence why it's tagged as "created by Aphex Twin" on the 26 Mixes For Cash album.
afterwards the robot gains self conciousness - and madness ( he gets that from the major who is a criminal ) and decides the lug in jacks can work the other way too.
I've never seen this movie but the thing I loved about this video is that your choice of music gave it a mood and feeling that carried through into the scenes that used no music at all. It gave those scenes a frightening credibility. I mean, a robot is attacking Farah Fawcett and on the surface it looks phony and ridiculous but there's that music you threw in and my heart and my stomach is tied up in knots because that music is still with me. Thanks for demonstrating the power of sound.
two Queens I got once , with GrandMaster , tricked thought was getting a high value piece , "he" got so pissed off when coming close to CheckMate , wanted to just scatter wipe off the ChessBoard scatter pieces , just pissed off threw down King , said F u ? , got pissed off never looked at me again (really weird) or wanted to play with me again ? got pissed off said stay away , hey Chess Community is that appropriate behaviour ?
what cd or where can i find this remix of teh ine inch nails song by aphex twin? I watched saturn 3 last night, and although its been universally panned by people and critics alike i found myself liking it. Surely its due for a remake? great video.
Yeah, there's something to this film... You can go to "legalsounds" for example and search for 26 Mixes For Cash CD2, and download this song, At The Heart of It All. That would be track 5.
lol you tell him. You made it afterall, and I second that, its Aphex Twin. Havent heard them in awhile. Cool shit man. Really takes me back, both the movie and the music. Awesome.
I saw this movie as a kid on cable TV. It always stuck with me. What a creepy, freaky movie. I'm dying to watch it as an adult.
