They butchered the holy shit hell out of the original cut of this film before those MPAA pussies would finally grant it an R rating.

@JohnnyWolfblood Well, this was made during a period of time when the MPAA ratings board was really clamping down hard on graphic violence because they thought it was harming children, which is total bullshit, in my opinion. This version is a lot more graphic than the theatrical version, which has virtually no gore in it at all, but there was still a lot more footage in the original version that was cut out and can only be seen now on the extras on the New Line DVD and in workprint versions .
