Does racism exist? yes. it will always exist. So will classism and every other ' ism" this world is sinful and imperfect, This is a word where people murder babies, but this world is going to end. We just had a near massive quake in washington dc and in the same week a Hurricane run ground up to NYC. Not Normal!!! The bible said this stuff would happen. We are all brothers and sisters and need to stop the hatred cause hate is going to land a lot of people in hell together regardless of race.
This world is imperfect and that's why Jesus said don't look for things to be perfect in this world cause it's not going to happen. And I've heard people say this and that about King James. God uses people sometimes , even unrepentant sinners. There are examples of this through out the bible. God just used King James to push the message of the bible through. King James did not alter the bible cause its basically the same as the hebrew version and the original texus receptus.
Black slaves believed and held to the promises of God and they sang about shoes when they didnt even have shoes! But eventually we as black people got shoes and much much more. Now we even have a black man as president, regardless of what anyone thinks of Barack, who ever thought that would happen in our life time??????????? So please Give Jesus some credit for the blessings he has poured out, be thankful, Is life perfect for blacks? NO!!!!! But life will never be perfect in this world.
@cmakanda13 Jesus is the God of all people. Did you know that When Jonah went to Nineveh, it was a city of black people??? God wanted to warn them to repent and Jonah did not want to deliver the message at first, so God put him in a whale to think about it. Jonah had a change of heart and decided to obey God and as a result when he preached the whole community of Nineveh converted and was saved. Jesus is not used to put us to sleep .
@cmakanda13 Neither, I am an optimist , yet a realist. And the reality is everyone is a slave on this planet. Know your history. Have black people had it hard? Yes. Is unemployment highest among blacks in the USA? Certainly. But other peoples have had and are still having difficulties. That is the way of the world and nothing is really ever going to change that entirely except god cause mankind is inherently corrupt. CD Brooks knows what he speaks of as did the late EE Cleveland.
Brooks and Cleveland both lived and worked during the pre and post civil rights era and Cleveland was a noted Civil rights activist. They had no fantasies that this world would ever be perfect. Sometimes you do have to fight for basic rights but as you can see the civil rights movement gave blacks a whole lot. yet it was still not enough and to be honest some black people have thrown those opportunities away by engaging in crime and drugs and a disregard for public education.
