To me, it looks as if you were suggesting Mufasa is the bad guy. Isn't all of this just a bunch of fan stuff? Not that it's wrong or anything, but I always just thought Scar was younger than Mufasa, so Mufasa got to be king first. I've never even heard of Taka. Not that there is anything wrong with this, I just feel more comfortable pointing out that Scar was originally supposed to be the bad guy. That's how Walt Disney created it.

Scar didnt try to kill Mufasa in the water buffalo incident where he got his scar. He wanted the water buffalo to attack Mufasa so Scar/Taka could save Mufasa and be looked at as stronger and be named king but Mufasa got away and the waterbuffalo attacked Scar but Mufasa saved Scar and when some other water buffalos came about to jump Scar and Mufasa their dad (Ahadi) came to save them in a way similar to how Mufasa saved Simba from the Hyenas in the movie.
I think he should have told ahadi(his father)about it instead of killing his own brother,or,find another lioness and start his own pride.it's not a good reason:''my brother is better than me,so,i'm gonna kill him'' being in second place it's not an excuse

This is beautiful. I love the "Moonlight Sonata" and I've always been fascinated with Scar, and I always got the impression that he was vastly under appreciated as a young lion and that his father, and ultimately Nala, favoured Mufasa above him, and years of pent-up jealousy, feelings of inadequacy (even though Scar is of superior intelligence, "when it comes to brute strength, I'm afraid I'm at the shallow end of the gene pool", to quote Scar, himself). well that is how it works in a lion pride. there's usually only one male and he mates with all the lionesses and it is very likely that simba and nala are brother and sister but that is normal in a real lion pride, but obviously they would omit that little detail in a disney movie lol.

@Loner4Life According to a book Taka/Scar was loved by his father Ahadi and he never mistreated him. Scar was just jealous that Ahadi chose Mufasa to be the next King. Maybe it was their mother who was actually the evil one? Maybe she wanted to kill Ahadi when given the chance and maybe she did? Also when Taka got his Scar from a Water Buffalo Ahadi threatened the Water Buffalo that Taka/Scar better be alright or he would've killed the Buffalo or something lol.

there in the lion king books the movie is like way later in the series I think. I've seen the book long time ago in a hastings but didn't think about.

This is beautiful. I love the "Moonlight Sonata" and I've always been fascinated with Scar, and I always got the impression that he was vastly under appreciated as a young lion and that his father, and ultimately Nala, favoured Mufasa above him, and years of pent-up jealousy, feelings of inadequacy (even though Scar is of superior intelligence, "when it comes to brute strength, I'm afraid I'm at the shallow end of the gene pool", to quote Scar, himself). This has been wonderfully insightful <3.

This is not a lie i looked at alot of fan sites for the lion king and some google ads and over 6000 people heard that the lion king 4 is supposed to come out in 2010!!!! This is not a lie i would never do that for something so great that was a huge part of my childhood

Ya there is the lion king 1 1/2 was the 3rd movie ever made which doesn't make it the lion king 3 but in other countries the lion king 1 1/2 is called the lion king 3!!!!!!!!!!! Find the version from other countries the lion king 1 1/2 and 3 are the exact same movie

wow its really cool how you interpreted that story. i never even thought about how the whole thing started. but as a comment on deahtbatjess comment, in a real lion pride it is not usual to mate with brothers or sisters. thats why all the young males are banned from the group when the come of age. it might happen thought that a father daughter thing happens. but its kind of hard to see. they all look alike:)

well that is how it works in a lion pride. there's usually only one male and he mates with all the lionesses and it is very likely that simba and nala are brother and sister but that is normal in a real lion pride, but obviously they would omit that little detail in a disney movie lol.
