So this is what happens when writers go on strike? I get it.
Kudos to Susan and Chaz for supporting the writers, by highlighting the important contribution of writers in film, TV and music.
Some films have pointless babble anyway and even the most talented actors cannot make the film watchable. Regardless, the writers should be paid residues and any royalties whenever and wherever their work is distributed or broadcast.
This is kind of good! Let's go back to the old Black&Withe movies... -Charlie Chaplin didn't need lines--...this way Writers can write books instead. It will be good for humanity if people from US become aware that there are other people in the planet apart from them.
-We need to become more cultured anyhow!
More books and less Hollywood entertainment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ok so this actually seems to work against bringing the writers back. I'm sorry but points out how a majority of scriptwriting is based off of the same framework.
In support of writers and the WGA, I am boycotting movies, TV, DVDs and internet video.
Writers are the foundation of every movie and TV show we've ever gotten anything out of. They've been disrespected forever. It's time to show respect. It's time to compensate them fairly.
Visual storytelling is how we practice facing fear and conflict. It's how we remember how to laugh in the face of tragedy.
they absolutely sound like the sims... I haven't played that in like 6 years and it was the first thing that came to mind. hahaha that really made me laugh
We had an ACTRA strike up here not too long ago over the same internet problem. ACTRA got the new contract so hopefully things work out in the US, if not just move the industry up here to Canada were we already have the internet rights worked out.
Congrats on the ACTRA contract but I'd like to see the work stay in the US, not go to Canada, or New Zealand as it has been trending. Canada has restrictions on American workers when shooting there so it does effect the American TV and film industry workers.
The Canadian Government gives US producers tax breaks if they use Canadian works. So they don't pay any taxes up here. Now with the dollar at par there is no real reason to film in Canada any more and the only US films that are here now are the ones that signed contacts last year before the change.

I actually didn't find the video funny. No writers - no movies, that's a fact. Despite of that, these people continue to be severly underappreciated.

OOPS! I meant 'residuals and royalties'. Apologies for poor spelling and typing skills.
Cheers!

Down with that, brother. Now the strike is over they can go back to the regular blathering, but this makes a great point.
Support your local writer!
