@dkslfjgh It's legal to video tape and take pictures of peoples house outside and through the windows without there premission. Of course I wouldn't but there is still no law against it. The first amendments go beyond the government. They must be allowed, as long as no harm is done. i.e. If you videotape someone being killed you'll get in trouble (if you're part of killing them) but if you record yourself preforming a talent you can't get in trouble (unless your talent is illegal).

It isn't particularly difficult to record videos or take photographs inside a Walmart store; nor does the company care a great deal if folks wander around inside taking pictures. That said, if you scamper around acting like you are looking for trouble, don't be surprised if someone finds an excuse to confront you.

you're only allowed to take pictures/record videos in stores with a legal release form for TV/film production, with proof of the production company. it may vary per store/location, but the reason why its there is for copyright infringement. a simple thing like showing a label of a certain shampoo bottle can be considered free advertising and piss off a number of companies, and you'll get into legal trouble. its not just for Walmart's benefit.
