@dq476 New Maxtor drives are garbage... can you imagine what an old one is like? LOL! Nothing! Even if I come across a used Maxtor drive that doesn't show any problems, it goes directly into the grinder. Sorry, nope! I do have other branded 20gb IDE drives around though.

I have a couple rooms like that myself. But since I have been doing case modding I have even found a use for the old cases. To salvage the metal from them for current projects. So I have cut done on my trips to the recyclers from one truck load a year to maybe one every three years.
Like you said with overheard there is really not that much room for profit. So a person has to scrap as much of it as possible.
@FUzzyBUnnyBOoties Yep, I know an XBox casdmod guy that has his whole apartment filled with XBox parts everywhere, even the bathroom counter! His girlfriend hates him for it!

lol at the t-series emachine. i have one. i also have a shit ton of drives and modems. my woman got all upset when we moved by a guy that does this and would come home and throw the shit in the dumpsters. I got tons of extra ethernet cables. finally he would just email me so i could go hide it or take it to my dads house lol!

@mbyr31 Well, when you add up the $1000/month rent, $200 power bills, $300 phone and internet, then payroll.... multiplied by the economy it equals SHIT!! Thankfully we are still holding our heads above water.
