@Shagron1349 This has never been confirmed. There were some rumors about this in 2009 but the viewer would not have been approved by Linden Labs if this were true. I do not use a standard anti-virus program (I use various online checks) and have never found a virus or a trojan, and I am a computer security guy.

@Shagron1349 i just noticed this. It is impossible for a viewer to contain "viruses" but it certainly can contain code that compromised the viewers security as the Emerald viewer did to a certain degree!

how does the emerald viewer run on your PC? Does it use more resources? I am downloading atm but any info from someone already using it would be cool. The beta 2.0 has a nice interface but cant find a lot of things and it keeps changing my avi into a femal when trying to use the instant outifts. Annoying i know but i just tell everyone its my Prince look lol. while scrambling to find my saved shapes.

shits me off when people use the term 'photography' when taking SCREEN CAPS of images on a computer screen. Wanna do photography ? get a REAL camera.

@mutetorment2 I just noticed this. Your observation shows a complete lack of knowledge of photography in virtual environments. First of all, in Second Life, you actually do take a "snapshot". You have to select your time of day, effects such as cloud cover, and arrange your subject matter. You then have to arrange correct light focuses on your images. It is not as hard as real life, of course, but it does require substantial skill to get a good shot. And I have a real life camera.
