I played this like 1 hour and it was like having a nightmare.... Lol :D i am better not playing it cuz i hope its not like Dead Space 2 where nikol piss you off now and then that wasn't scary well the first time i didn't knew what was going on but after the 3rd time it hit me and i play along with it till the end of the game but let me tell you this after the 3rd time playing the game i am not doing it a 4th time till they give me a patch SHUT UP NIKOLE! But this does look some what better.
although it is cool that the hud gets static and the flashlight goes out when somethiing weird is about to happen. and then every now and then it does that and nothing happens :)

@tomcatobi This isn't a game you buy for online, the online is nothing special. The single player game is amazing though and thats what you should buy this game for. Single player is the main focus in this game so thats what mark focused on, I don't think mentioning online is necessary when it feels tacked on like this, because if you have any good online shooters you won't be playing this one online.

Multiplayer isn't the strength of this game, and imo it shouldn't really be a factor in someones decision to buy the game, so it doesn't need to be mentioned. Im a huge fan of this game, and the series as a whole so far, but ive never actually became frightened from it. I just love the very well done FPS gameplay and effects it has. Plus, the story is interesting to keep my attention. A lot of my friends havent even heard of this game, but i dont understand how the game didnt get really popular. Its extremely well made! It never really glitches for me, its fast paced (especially if u dont use the slo-mo as much), but cant wait for F3AR

From the minute I got this in the mail from Amazon (Around 6 or 7pm) till 4AM. This game kept me going and like he says, your nerves get shocked from playing non-stop till the wee hrs of the morning. I hope Fear 3 will deliver the same as well because I loved Fear 2 to death playing it in the dark. The final words I whispered to myself @ the end was "Holy shit" after seeing Alma pregnant. After seeing all this, I wish I could do it all again and get freaked out like I did when I played Fear 2.

I don't think that FEAR 2 was scary at all.. the first one had its moments when little Alma showed up, but I wasn't scared in the sequel at any time. Yes, I had fun playing it and I liked the audio design and some levels in particular - but all in all, I thought the first game was better. Grown up alma wasn't frightening anymore, she began to annoy me with some very predictable actions that made the whole thing kinda boring to the end. If I don't want to sleep, I play Condemned: Criminal Origins
The three things which I miss from F.E.A.R 1: leaning ability, powerful shotgun and the old cursing voices of replica troopers (most "important" one). They are so hilarious ^^ Otherwhise I enjoyed the game much. A happy owner :)

In my opinion the horror in this game is just plain awful,the shocks can be seen from a mile away since you figure out quite early that every time twenty seconds goes by without a fight some thing is going to jump at you,the game would have been a lot stronger if the horror wasn't so prominent since the gun play is so great and the fire fights extremely intense and fun.I'd give it an 8.5

Oh by god yes. Its not scary at all really, unless you're scared of doors, the occasional ghost and sometimes mutants, which are more annoying than scary.

This game reminds me of a nightmare I sometimes have. In a big house and if I sit still and do nothing I am safe. but when I start to walk or run something is coming after me and its terrible!!! I wake up in sweat every night. Maybe this game can cure me?

i love scary first person shooters
the first game ive ever played on my ps3 was bioshock and its scary but scary with zombies
not with ghosts these stuff make me piss
and remember that hallway filled with ghosts and blood everywhere you shoed in this review
well this was on the trialer and i screamed so many times at that part

Kinda disagree with you MARK about how good the game looks compared to other big-buget FPS games Ive played , I own a 360 and this game looks AMAZING - it looks better than HALO 3 or ODST or HALFLIFE 2 , best looking game Ive ever played - VERY VERY ATMOSPHERIC & ABSORBING (for full effect best played late at night with all the lights out , and a clean pair of under-wear handy lol )

yeah man , now have crysis2 , good graphics ,but hate the saving mechanism , as with alot of games these the save checkpoints are too few , and you can only save the game if you sign into xb-live , what if you do not have online access ? ,luckily enough i am on xb-live , but if i wasnt i would have taken the game straight back to the shop , crysis2 got 10/10 from some game reviewers , but because of these flaws i would say its about 8/10

nope save your pennies. this game's alright but the controls are just too clunky. and i honestly didn't care much for the story either. if you're looking for a survival horror, dead space is the way to go.
