I'm a well-travelled Filipino and have been watching fights since Ali-Frazier (I saw Ali in-person training for Thrilla in Manila) but do not consider myself as passionate as you. I myself made a little money on a bet with my friend thats also Filipino, with me picking Pacquiao on a 2 to 1 bet. Dave, well put. I am a Filipino and grew up in Bay Area as well and have friends of diverse cultures. It bothers me to see such dumb comments as well. I ignore them as soon as I see where the comment is going. Manny himself don't even like the term. And for real boxing fans,they know that to be recognized as a contender you must fight these great boxers. I myself made a little money on a bet with my friend thats also Filipino, with me picking Pacquiao on a 2 to 1 bet.
