Here in CA white firefighters get passed over all the time. If there are three openings and the top five applicants are white, they'll get the required 2 parts white, one part 'other', no matter how far down the list they have to go.

Im a NYC resident & mixed minority, yet I don't understand.
Our FDNY is an efficient force, prompt, & acclaimed. Why the fuck is diversity a focus?
Why should it be suspicious that any group or workforce is prevailed by whites? This reads "personal grief" all over it.
