The same thing happened to my husband and me. We withdrew the money a little at a time over a few months. Then forgot all about it. Years later my husband got arrested for bank robbery because of it. Better to pay it back now than go to jail later.
Hey! Don't Spend it or Take it out for a week! Shawn had that happen with $3000! We spent it all and the bank caught the mistake like a week later! So he was $3000 in the hole with the bank. But we got 2 new computers out of it. Lol

I would wait at least a week. if you can hold off two you would be beter off, because you will spend it, then they will remove it and then your account may get over drawn and etc etc. Don't spend it. keep on living like it is not there. easier said than done... but you will thank yourself one way or another.

In the end, my total "mystery money" came out to be 2,000 and I STILL don't know where it came from. As for how long you should wait, I really have no suggestions because I still haven't spent mine and it has been at least a month since it happened. Maybe you should wait just one more week. I once deposited 500 in the bank, and the bank put 5000 in my account, but they took it back the next day.....lol

the bank will figure out their mistake eventually, then you'll probably be responsible for the money even if you already spent it.
