  • it's funny when I was a kid i'd get excited when I'd hear the intro thinking vanilla ice was coming on, and being disappointed when queen and david bowie came on. Now it's totally the opposite as this is absolutely one of the greatest rock songs ever written.

  • No No No. It's his cars. One of his cars is slightly bigger than the other. He's got a Citroën Iris coupé and a Ford Retina 3-door hatchback and the Citroën is slightly bigger. Hope that clears it up.

  • David Bowie was pivotal to me. I also stop when I hear this song - this and Changes - and there are not many songs that do that to me.

  • Apparently one of Bowie's ears is slightly bigger than the other one but I'm not sure which.

  • @kittenmuck so are yours. ^^ That's totally normal. same with feet, hands and even nostrils. ^^ We aren't perfectly assymetrical you know? XDDD now if you're talking about his eyes, the left pupil, if I'm not mistaken, was permanently damaged in a fight. So it looks a bit bigger cause the muscles can't close. o.o It's not the globe itself, it's the pupil. ^^

  • @nitrodrum thanks to Mr. Angry, no go back to your bedroom and let the adults play

  • I love David Bowie!!!!! He's amaazing.

  • I love david Bowie.Always did and will continue to do so.David I love you dude

  • @Kezzabou Please may I ask you to share this clip with me? It doesn't really sound like Brian here - that's definitely Freddie's chuckle at the beginning. Thank you :)

  • @InfohubTom - I have it on a disk I can't copy off of - and Lord knows I've tried. Sorry!

  • @InfohubTom - Also, you may want to look at #99jaystang's comment about it down yonder - remembering it on the radio.

  • That's Brian talking to a DJ .. David Richards produced the track at Mountain studios. Nothing to do with Tony V.

Like "manuel86mi" says this was a radio promo tour that Brian did, but I think it was long before '91.

  • @bootymanager are you crazy? the edge is overrated!

  • Tony Visconti didn't produce the song

  • slighlty harder than the final version.

  • fucking epic! wtf! want to buy full studio mixed version pls lol seriously

  • Wow ... way better than the finished product , very cool!!!

  • what freddie says is ?mans name? - good luck and thank you for having me

and the mixer replies.. Thank You!

  • @RobsMusicBox Sounds like he says 'And, Goodnight, and thank-you for having me'

  • Brian May's solos/improvs *______________* God, why aren't those in the recording?

  • thank you!! Freddie and David!!!

  • Eclipse is absolutely correct. Bowie even commented on his eye in an interview about his song Kooks where he mentions what happened to his eye:

"And if you ever have to go to school

    Remember how they messed up

    this old fool

Don't pick fights with the bullies

    or the cads

'Cause I'm not much cop at punching other people's Dads

And if the homework brings you down

Then we'll throw it on the fire

    And take the car downtown"

  • Bowie is neither blind nor the victim of dry ice or a car crash guys! He was punched by his school friend George and suffered permanent damage to the iris. Amazing and amusing though where these other stories come from :)

  • @eclipse1501 I thought I saw that his eyes were like that in the Labyrinth, but I thought it was just for the character. Very interesting! :D

  • @eclipse1501 Replace "Iris" with "retina" & then your comment doesn't become another of those amusing stories :) hehehehe.... Sorry

  • @MalquiLans so much punctuation, so little content

  • @CostaDelCrime "Oh."

  • in an interview with david bowie he said there was an accident with dry ice i think it was and it made him go blind in that eye

  • Never believe what David Bowie says about his eyes.

he's told the press it was a car crash and the nerves in his eyes got damdged, alsorts.

    <3 him anyway

  • LOL oh well. It dont matter anyway. Maybe he likes to keep his fans confused LOL his eye is not what makes him :)

  • Is that Freddy Mercury hitting that high note! That is amazing!

  • @alsal88 I know you posted your question a year ago....yes, that is Freddie Mercury hitting that high note.

  • Are David Bowie's eyes different from one another? Check out the 2 pics from 1:03 - 1:16

  • it's because he's the sexiest man alive!!! lmao

  • Yes they are, he was in a fight when he was a kid, and permanantly damaged one of his eyes...

  • Yes, they are. It is a very well known fact. Due to an injury he got fighting with a childhood friend (they are still friends) over a girl when he was about 16.

  • no, but he does have a condition where one of his eyes is more dialated than the other. forgot what it's called tho...

  • I though the will be cadre from the studio...

But actually the video is very good! :-)

  • this is a half note step tuned up for some reason!

  • Jesus Christ, that was great. Thank you for sharing.

  • I love it

  • Ha, I watched "The Labyrinth" with David Bowie there. :)

    Great song. Incredible duet.

  • The Labryinth. David Bowie's pants =D

    Yum... =P

  • I loved that movie...awesome..and yes..his pants were yummmmy...:-)

  • Heheher ;D

  • =P The bass is very easy the guitar is shredding and face melting.

  • mp3?

  • at 1:18 he looks like the Dexter guy......I love this song sooooo much! i can play it on bass, but not as good as they can. :(

  • LOL, that's funny. Actually, it was the other way around, eh?

  • Love this demo.

    Fiat

  • omg i love it!!! thanks for putting it up!!

  • remember this so well, Q107fm Toronto 1991

  • You do some amazing work, eclipse!!

  • does anyone have this mp3?

  • I can email you the whole media file which contains the audio track if you want it?

  • oh can you email it to us too?

  • This piece comes from 1991 when Brian promoted the Innuendo album in the American radio.

Bria is talking over the song and plays guitars first and after the UP song.

  • Brian, one of the world's greatest rock and roll lead guitarists. Even better than the Edge.

  • @bootymanager You say that like it's hard to be better than the Edge, where in fact it's damn near impossible to be shittier than him. The Edge has no clue, no talent and absolutely no guitar skills, which, surprisingly for such a bloated-ego asshole like he and Bono are, even he himself admits.

  • @gormarx Well said mate.

  • @bootymanager yes indeed!

  • @bootymanager whoa...you're treading on the Edge> Shame....They're both equally the epitome of their craft...

  • @bootymanager Pffffffff SO MUCH BETTER, The Edge should kiss the floor that Brian walks....

  • @bootymanager

lol "even better than "the Edge"....lmao...this is NOT hard to accomplish...

  • @bootymanager haha better than the edge, ofc he is lol

  • @manuel86mi dam that's right .. Using 2 Zoom effects ha ha I'd forgotten that.

  • what version?

  • kill me with drug David!

  • Marry me David!
