At this point what's often referred to as Tocqueville's Law seems appropriate. It goes something like this:
Any person, institution or organization who begins to take themselves too seriously will inevitably end up pursuing the absurd, making Saturday Night Live-esque parodies of themselves, subsequently posting them on YouTube.
In all honesty, I didn't really think it was weird, but thought it was a joke or something. I see now this is serious (with uber-dramatic Hollywood music and all). Oh, well. Carry on. Do good work.
God has communicated to us and has given us all sufficient information needed to establish the reality of not only scripture but also the One who wants us to live more abundantly.
