  • I had a 2002 f4i with a scorpion shorty slip on and mine fit perfected it didn't cover the logo or anything and it sounds great in person and it's loud as hell u could here me coming for miles but I wish I still had it!!!!!

    P.S.-I started ridding a 600 when I was 13 so yea lol I'm 15 now moving up to a gsxr 750:)

and the f4i was my first sport bike besides dirt bikes and stuff:)

  • With the baffle in it was a bit louder than stock but sounded nice.

  • I am looking at getting one of these and was wondering how loud it is in person with the baffle in?

  • get off that bike and be there for these kids

  • Doesnt sound too sweet does it.....

  • I just bought the same pipe and have an 06 F4i. Mine didn't fit either. The midpipe is way too long. What did you do to get the correct pipe? Did you contact the manufacturer? I want to know if you ever got this resolved. Also did your mid pipe have a flange on it that mounted to nothing on the bike? I'm thinking scorpion must have had a problem with something.

  • I never got the correct pipe. I switched to a pipe from Viper. It's got a carbon fiber end cap, better fit and doesn't sound bad. The Scorpion midpipe did have a flange on it with a hole to mount to something. I think it is a bad fit for this bike. They were probably trying to make a system that would fit the most number of bikes.

  • get a power commander and you can run that pipe with out the baffle

  • Tortex, I turned that link pipe every direction and it is in the best possible place.

music, I can't force anything in there without seriously restricting the flow. I will take it out and mess with it though!

  • I have the same bike and the same exhaust and don't have the flapping sound.. Also, My link pipe isn't THAT close to the swing arm.. I don't think you've quite installed it correctly.

  • sounds good man...i gota 02 f4i...obviously its the exhaust damper doing the flapping sound...its kind of silly that they only have the one screw holding it in, so most likely its just vibrating...i was thinking maybe you could find some heat sheild type material and stick it on around the middle of your damper and then force that baby in there...maybe that would fill the gap if there is one and get rid of the sound?? hopefully, give it a try...ride hard man
