  • Dear God (Trent Reznor): thank you so much for let me live and admire the greates decade an era of your music... THIS WHY I LOVE THE 90´S!!!!!!

  • "If anybody feels like hurting themselves, you should do it."

The most hilariously irresponsible crowd instruction of all time. :p

  • trent is a fat neck with a wrinkly, shriveled short dick, not big man with a gun

  • @issaacgooser If you talk to any groupie, they'll tell you his dick is easily 7 1/2 inches long.

    He IS God !!!!

  • @mangosnake HA! funny comment man,it's true though.

  • I have to agree with Jparis.

While TDS was agood album, The Fragile was his most atmospheric heartfelt album. Which is what he known for creating.

  • Back in the days when NIN had a good band, and Robin Finck was an awsome freak.

  • MY FUCKING GUN!!!

  • ART IS RESISTANCE

  • wow. the things i would do to trent reznor if was left in a room with him....*sigh*

  • this song makes me laugh. the keyboard sounds like some eights pop song. Dare To Be Stupid by Weird Al, thats it.

  • The downward spiral = best NIN era

  • yeah right...THE FRAGILE IS THE BEST ALBUM OF ALL TIME...THE WALL FOR GENERATION X

  • @xxashyy - yeah the best goddamned fucking era !

    hell yeah !!!

  • awesome

Robin makes the band much better I think

  • the downward spiral is so fucking intense

  • No kidding. Whenever I have a jacked up week, I pop this sucker in the car while blazing the freeway and just shout it all out. By "A Warm Place," that's where I'm at. So much power in that album, it's scary. I wish more artist could wrap that much energy in one disc.

  • Yeah, my favorite part is the "Big Man With A Gun", "A Warm Place" and "Eraser" medley.

  • i like ruiner-the becoming-i do not want this

  • i wish they would play this more offten this is one of my favorits

  • Gotta love that scream we will never hear from him again.

  • throbbing gristle sucks female dick

  • ...lol

  • Fuck you. Let everybody listens what they want.

NIN are perfect, but what you said is whole shit. Think about it.

    (I'm long-time NIN fan, btw)

  • thank you. that was very kind.

    good day evilfetus4

  • You should think about it too. Can't we show our opinion?

Pop or Rap are ok (even ppl who listen to it sometimes), as long as they ARE SOMETHING. And what he highlighted is the diarrhea of showbiz. It's pure, fucking, disgusting SHIT, that make me think people has lost any left-overs of their music taste... or maybe even their ears.

Fuck shitty, gay, pseudomusic. Let there be ART.

  • wow yeah, give me negatives you jonas-lovers

  • after this touching myself has become a necessity

  • This is amazingly hot!!!!!!

  • :' ) its just soo friggin great

  • This is fucking amazing!!

  • does anybody feel like hurting themselves? you should do it... RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWR!!!!!!!!!!!

oh my god... the good old days...

  • NIN at it's finnest.

  • oh my

  • If there were a church of Trent Reznor I would def join, and be a decon or something!!!

  • whoa! did someone get stabbed in the elbow?

  • I ♥ TRENTTTT

  • SO fucking sexy!

  • trent reznor is a musical/lyrical genius

  • ahhh, beauty at its best....thats my thought on this...

  • this is fucking awesome. whan was this? back in 99?

  • Earlier...this is the Self Destruct Tour.

  • 94 I think

  • o ok. Youre totally right, i didnt take notice to how skinny he was. lmao

  • It is a satire crafted beautifull...the male believing so much in big power using their supposed "large dicks" as a metaphor for men in places of extreme power hence rappers, presidents, politicans etc_I love it so much...kinda sexy in terms to me but thats bc its Trent :)

  • I read in the book ny Huxley (spelling?) that he actually didn't like this song that much and he wished he'd left it off of the album. He said, (Paraphrasing) that he made it kinda as a satyrical song in response to the "Gangsta Rap" that was so prevalient at the time...mocking it's same old same old, "I'm going to fuck a lot of bitches and I got a big dick." I, personally am glad that it made the cut, I LOVE THIS SONG!

  • oooooooooooh my god...that was AWESOME!!!!!!

  • i love this

  • Less drugs, more protein and weight lifting. I still think Trent is hot.

  • Trent is beautiful always. Saw him in Sept. RedRocks-simply an amazing performer.

  • Ilove love love it

  • I'd like to see a return to this kind of aggression, not that I don't like the mellow stuff too. You don't have to be a drug addict to make aggressive music.

  • Oh man. I love you.

When ever I say I like NIN's more agressive, anger-fueled stuff, they think I'm telling them that Trent needs drugs. :S

  • What I hate even more than when people think that is when they try to act like loud, angry, cathartic music such as The Downward Spiral and Broken is childish. Now, that's not saying I don't like the more ambient and mellow stuff too. There isn't a NIN song out there that I hate. I love them all. I just miss the darker stuff. Don't have to be a drug addict to make stuff like that.

  • I think Trent is under-rated...does anyone agree?? This guy deserves a Grammy...like 10 of them =]

  • seeing trent get a grammy would be awesome now. i'm like 90% sure he would decline it from his past statements and it would be very enjoyable.

  • LOL...yeah! That would be very awesome!

  • What about the Grammy awards he won in 1994 and 1995? I doubt he would decline a Grammy. Trent is a very gracious and appreciative person. Either way, we have a chance to find out on February 8th when "34 Ghosts IV" is up for Best Rock Instrumental Performance and "Ghosts I-IV" has been nominated for Best Boxed Set or Limited Edition Package.

  • In the past he has accepted, of course, but he has also continually made statements in which he describes the Grammy Awards as the record industry just patting itself on the back when the shitty products it makes turn a good profit.

  • @erikerodri he has two grammys actually. one for wish and one for happiness in slavery. he was nominated 12 times all together. he has not declined one yet.

  • @erikerodri he won a grammy for Wish and Happiness in Slavery.

His reaction for the Wish award was "On my tombstone I'll have 'Trent Reznor; said fist-fuck and won a grammy'"

  • Trent won a grammy for "Best Live Metal Performance" in 92' for Wish and in 95' for Happiness in Slavery.

He even said on his tombstone he wants his epitaph to read "Said fist fuck, Won a grammy"

  • @amen2u he has two grammys actually. one for wish and one for happiness in slavery. he was nominated 12 times all together. he has not declined one yet.

  • @amen2u That and a seat in the rock and roll Hall of fame

  • @amen2u He just won the Grammy and a Oscar.. but for social network of course

  • @amen2u SEEEEERIOUSLY underrated

  • @amen2u Long time has passed, and now I just saw this comment on the highest rated list, and I just laughed. Here he is with an Academy Award, a Golden Globe, and... I think a grammy? for his marvelous score of the Social Network.

  • @NIN99Koala ... I'm glad that Trent has received praise and recognition for his work... Trent is one talented sonofagun that's for sure. The awards he has and will receive are well deserved :) Kudos to Trent Reznor.

  • what happened? hes all old now.

  • hes only like 40 hes not to old

  • hes not that old he just started beign less crazy and started lifting weights mr. bodybuilder

  • Greatness is hard to always top itself. Change is a part of growing, adapting-its life. His new album kicks ass. He is a mastermind in all he does-clean or hashed out-

To Embrace the new we must compared to the older. Nearly 20 years difference-if he were the same today as he was then..I'd be disappointed-he is perfect in his growth.

  • i'll keep my fingers crossed. i grew up on his older stuff so i guess i'm attached to it, it had more meaning than this "with teeth" and "survivalism" stuff which seems to be aimed towards a totally different crowd.

  • i'm not saying he should be on drugs again, nor am i saying that he should make the exact same albums as before. I'm just saying that a) his past shows were amazing in terms of the energy he put into them (you think with all the juicing + health he'd be a little more enthusiastic) b) his older music had more of the signature creative + minor note/gloomy nin sound that so many people loved. i try to think his progression is reverting back to the past, just like history repeats itself

  • To all the people saying that Trent should make another Downward spiral... Fuck that. I don't think that he's really interested in repeating the past. Besides, If he was still making downward spiral type stuff you'd all be complaining, saying "Why is Trent still making the same thing? It's boring now." It's called progression and it's not a bad thing. I for one like all of his stuff to some degree or another.

  • he should make another downward spiral sounding album. fuck this new crap

  • it's part of the evolution. Even the Beatles discography had a change...the main idea is that it will always be industrial. Trent, even if he's getting old he still being a genius.

  • You're right.

The Downward Spiral is my favorite album from them, and I think it's the best. I miss Trent's darker stuff back then, I just wish I was 15 back then to enjoy it :/

I don't like his new stuff..

  • Yes! I totally agree. The set list was terrible compared to past performances.

  • i'm just waiting til the day comes when he gets over not playing anything good from the past because of the association(s) it has with him and whip out the good old tunes of musical annihilation. patience.

  • i hate the new trent

bring back this era and everything will be just fine. new trent with his bulging biceps and shitty experimental keyboard electronica music with political lyrics, i don't know. it's not too bad but it will never replace nor compare to what he was produced in the earlier, more "fucked up/drugged out" days aka his most creative & best.

  • asshole¡¡¡¡¡

  • Sooo your saying that he should get hooked on drugs again just to please you? That's selfish dontcha think?

  • this is trent reznor and that's why we adore him :)

  • He has always been an amazing performer. His age only deepens the greatness. Redrocks wow-perfect example.

  • fuck this is awesome

  • I fucking love this song. We need more Trent Reznors in music

  • no one can handle that much greatness. only he can.

  • As much as Trent trys to say he's not "Industrial" just listen to this song and tell me I'm wrong. This song wreaks of Industrial influence. He's so fucking violent musically it's awesome.

  • when did he say hes not industrial?

  • past interviews. he said he does not like being called industrial... which is exactly what NIN is.

  • i saw him twice in the summer, and ill agree that this was his most intense era for him but about him being buff id disagree because before the year zero tour and suring it he was so jacked, but now he definatly shrunk a little bit

  • I totally agree with ronnysoeberg. finally some smart and relistic person. thanks.

  • It's funny you're saying this about the performances back on the 94 Self Destruct Tour. This was the best NIN was in their day and will ever be unfortunately. A well oiled machine. Trent really outdid himself on this particular tour. I don't think he will ever match it's intenseness. And he wasn't all buff looking then like he is now. WTF? was up with that anyways?

  • He'll probably never match this intensity. But his shows these days are fucking hellanice in a different way.

And about the buffing up. I guess in the process of getting clean he felt like getting in shape. Not really all that weird. Being in shape makes extensive tours a hell of a lot easier. Being a scrawny dude fucked up on drugs would probably make the tours he did when he was like that pretty damn exhausting. Just speculation, but I think the exhaustion would mess with the mood as well.

  • yeah man, you can't live like this eternally ... learn to accept the process of life.

  • Love the sarcastic lyrics to this song, really drives it home. Live performace was flawless.

  • The last 20 seconds he headbanged like a madman

  • I bet everyone was like "Please Trent, come all OVER ME"

  • I love trent, but I'm good on the baby batter, regardless of whos it is.... kthnxbai

  • trent plays everything yes..

but he doesnt play everything live...

the question was more directed to whats in front of your face which is a video of NIN LIVE...

    end of story...

  • the bassist's name is trent reznor. trent plays all the instruments. :)

  • this ROAR.............

  • whats the name of the bassist?

  • what you need to do is crawl back into the hole you came out of my friend...

you cant go to an NIN video and say something that stupid...

    i say that with respect...

  • ummm i can never remember the bassists...except the time that jeordie white played for them.

  • it's danny lohner.

  • thanks

  • That's a bit harsh, considering it's not even a constant lineup and each person generally plays around on different instruments depending on the song.

  • wow, powerful

  • this going into head like a hole? THEY NEED TO GO BACK TO THAT!

  • Weee Robin <33

  • his outline in the dark...omg!!! he used to be sooooo sexy and fuckable in those days.

  • oh shut up

  • ehm...why?

  • Because he, like other people, are tired of everyone saying "OMG I WANNA HAVE SECKS WITH TRENT REZNOR, LOL!!!" when we all know that if he wasn't famous and just some guy on the street, you wouldn't take a second look. Try listening to Starfuckers Inc. again.

  • ok...you're right. and it's just the first time i'm leaving a comment about his "being sexy" (although i have some serious doubts about not taking a second look at him if he wasn't famous. i like guys looking like him, but not because they remind me of him-this happens always). anyway, i really love nin music, and the downward spiral still shakes me every time i listen to it. the "beauty" and "hotness" of trent was in addition. i might have given a wrong image of myself and my thoughts. peace.

  • if he was an ordinary guy.. i'd still think he was fuckin sexy.. he's just my type, the perfection of all qualities i find sexy in a guy (including teeth)

  • you can say that again ;)

  • I hate guns. I love this song!

Don't care about the words. The music is stunning! Scream it, Mr Self Destruct!

  • AWESOME HEADBANGIN TRENT

  • lol...cramming dicks...

  • I kno' daffrite....I kno' daffrite...

  • Pure fricking industrial metal.

  • Indeed. Industrial music It's raw, dirty, sex translated into music. lol. NIN rules.

  • GRAAAH! ANGRY! STRONGBAD!

  • Fuck you man. Try to be same in 29 and 42 you fool.

  • funny guy

  • You are both dumb, Trent Reznor can do what he wants, when he wants you do relize he doesn't give a fuck about you right? It's like this he has 24 releases onhis own, what do you have? nothing? Not the studio, I literally mean nothing, you are as Kansas would say "Dust in the Wind" ok? done, I busted on you hard, and God damn, it felt good.

  • Why the fuck are you speaking then SnipeYouStrikeYou?

  • Cram a fuckin' dick in your mouth you stupid ass bitch, and who the fuck says "cram it" anymore??, i dunno if you noticed but it's not 1985 anymore fucktard...

  • lmao! You're funny.

  • Check out Ghosts I-IV. It is NOT radio friendly. You may or may not like it. I don't like WT or YZ, but I like Ghosts I-IV. You might too.

  • What'd you think of The Slip?

  • weak comparred to other more developed albums, but not bad. just ends a little to slowly for my taste i suppose... 7 minute instrumentals followed by another instrumental can do that

  • don't get me wrong, i loved the slip. BUT nothing will ever come close the classic album that got them on the map which was the downward spiral. I'm only 16 right now and i remember my dad playing that when i was like 4 and my favorite song throughout my life has been terrible lie. NIN's older stuff was amazing, the newer stuff is Great.

  • terrible lie was from pretty hate machine kid.

  • dude, i totally know that. my point is that i grew up on the old nin.

  • I think he was just saying that Terrible Lie was/is his favorite song, not that it was on Downward Spiral.

  • I think Demon Seed is a kick ass ending.. I for one love the slip, took a couple listens for it to grow on me but it certainly did just that. I think Trent is just having more fun creating music these days, and I am all for it. Can't believe we have been blessed with such fantastic music now for roughly 20 years now. Heres to many, many more!
