No police record about this whole thing in all of Europe. The picture in the paper is also a picture of the victim, the kid. You can see his reflection multiple times throughout the video. Also, as stated previously, The Author of Al1's website is Adam Butcher, the Author of this video.
YouTube wasn't in 16:9 in the days the story was presumably set in. This takes away from the immersion, otherwise this is a superb example of creepy pasta.
maybe this is a bit far fetched but i think I've got it.
if you go to al1 (al(one)'s) web site you get to see pictures , these pictures are high res so you can zoom in the browser directly and get very good quality of the pictures, and if you look at the 3rd picture you get a nice look at his thumb inside of the plastic bag. Now if you look at 5:01 and 5:32 you'll see his thumb if you pause you can see Fortress thumb have the same shape and the same redness around his nail as Al1.

Here's what I think. Al1 makes a puzzle with a 9000 pound reward. "Fortress" Makes a video log as he solves it. Why would he do that? Wouldn't someone be practically following him, eventually leading to their meeting, and one kills the other? In this case it would be Fortress, because he has the blade. But then where would Al1 be? He could've just abandoned the money. Possibility 2: Al1 is Fortress. Fuck youtube and it's incredibly short character limit.

Look at the shovel on AL1's site then look at Fortress' shovel whilst he is riding on the train at 7:11 both shovels have a white spot on them on the left side. They both have the same white spot on them. Leading to the theory that both the pictures and the video were made by the same person, which in turn suggest AL1 and Fortress are the same person. Never the less amazing video!
the one problem i see in this story is that al1 would have had to stay out in that field for weeks just waiting in hopes that somehow even though barely anyone had even been to his site that someone would take the time to solve his riddle

But about the other things you upload on your channel like for an example "BBC commercials" please just get rid of that, make your channel more based on the story telling, or just make another channel for the other things you upload, then there would be more organized. Guys, stop trying to prove it´s real the video, it´s clearly fake for a number of reason:
1. the Al1 quest page was made by adam butcher in 2009, not 2005.
2. in the first puzzle, the secret message doesnt use all the letters (drawings) of the alphabet, so how comes that in this video we have access to all the drawings that weren´t used?
also, how did the article include a photo of the "unidentified man", if he was dead when they found the body? he's alive in the picture...they'd have to know who it was to find a live picture. its definitely not a true story, VERY cool nonetheless

Also, youtube started a beta test in May 2005. So, with the timeline of the film taking more than 6 weeks and the "Body discovered..." headline being last updated 4th June 2005, the videos were uploaded to youtube before youtube existed.

Something's kinda bugging me with the puzzle, specifically the first chapter of it: how exactly could he find out which scene was representing it's respective letter in the alphabet without a sentence for reference that actually used each letter in the alphabet? One could say that one scene could represent each subsequent letter until the next scene in the sequence, but how do you determine which letter the next scene represents? Or which letter a scene with multiple letters is representing?
@LovelaceII He put the scenes in order comparing to the original tale. Then, he gave a letter in order to each one of them, and the repeated ones received the same letter.
@xtuber25 I know - In the sentence: 18 different letters, meaning 18 different scenes. There's 26 letters in the alphabet. How did he know which scene was representing was representing what letter in the sentence when the complete alphabet is not even referenced? Example: there's no C in the sentence, meaning the scene representing B could just as well be representing C. I'm guessing he just chose whatever letter made the sentence make sense, but it's possible it spells something else as well.

You're right, he definitely chose the letters that made sense, but it's not so hard to make that work out, for example, at 3:39 you can see that the picture with the 3 guys listening to the other one talking about Death is letter C, but at 3:46 you can see that the same picture is the fourth one (letter D), which probably means he tried letter C, but the word "FINC" doesn't make sense, so he used letter D instead. And probably the same thing with the other words.

i hate to say this, but he, adam butcher published the website which gives the first clue, and shows him burring the money. But if you watch fortresses videos very closely, then you see that the shovel used to burry the money on the website was the same one he has in his hand on the train in the fifth video of him searching for the money. So, Adam Butcher is 3 people, Adam Butcher, Al1, and Fortress. But i do have to say, this is one of the greatest hoax of all time.

I was re-watching this video when I saw that if you look on the first quest video and at the stats it says he was last signed in on the 2nd of June 2005. @1:21 So he must of killed Al1. As he was on his Youtube account at that time. 4 months after the news story took place.

Something's kinda bugging me with the puzzle, specifically the first chapter of it: how exactly could he find out which scene was representing it's respective letter in the alphabet without a sentence for reference that actually used each letter in the alphabet? One could say that one scene could represent each subsequent letter until the next scene in the sequence, but how do you determine which letter the next scene represents? Or which letter a scene with multiple letters is representing?

@LovelaceII He put the scenes in order comparing to the original tale. Then, he gave a letter in order to each one of them, and the repeated ones received the same letter.

@xtuber25 I know - In the sentence: 18 different letters, meaning 18 different scenes. There's 26 letters in the alphabet. How did he know which scene was representing was representing what letter in the sentence when the complete alphabet is not even referenced? Example: there's no C in the sentence, meaning the scene representing B could just as well be representing C. I'm guessing he just chose whatever letter made the sentence make sense, but it's possible it spells something else as well.

You're right, he definitely chose the letters that made sense, but it's not so hard to make that work out, for example, at 3:39 you can see that the picture with the 3 guys listening to the other one talking about Death is letter C, but at 3:46 you can see that the same picture is the fourth one (letter D), which probably means he tried letter C, but the word "FINC" doesn't make sense, so he used letter D instead. And probably the same thing with the other words.

i hate to say this, but he, adam butcher published the website which gives the first clue, and shows him burring the money. But if you watch fortresses videos very closely, then you see that the shovel used to burry the money on the website was the same one he has in his hand on the train in the fifth video of him searching for the money. So, Adam Butcher is 3 people, Adam Butcher, Al1, and Fortress. But i do have to say, this is one of the greatest hoax of all time.

Amazing story. This is why I love the internet, making websites in order to make a story very believable. I like it even more when you get to interract with the story (usually as a community [maybe a forum for a game or something]).
